My name is Marina Victorovna Lizogub. I was born on the 24th of August, 1982 in Donetsk.

My Mother’s name is Larisa Ivanovna Lizogub. She was born 1959 in Chicherino village which is in Donetsk region. In 1977 she entered Chemistry-and-technology department of Donetsk polytechnic institute, the "Recycled industry wastes recupiration technology" speciality, and graduated successfully in 1982. In 1996 she got her second profession "Accounting and audit" by graduating from Donetsk state university. Now she works as an economist in Prominvestbank.

My Father, Victor Aleksandrovich Lizogub, was born 1960 in Donetsk. In 1982 he graduated from the faculty of mining electromechanics in Donetsk polytechnic institute. After the graduation he worked as a miner, and since 1994 he works as an electrical engineer for heat-electric generating factory of the Donetsk metallurgical plant steam and air providing service.

I was a very lively and inquisitive child. My parents I guess couldn't endure my hyperactivity so they sent me to the regional pioneers' palace audition to national dance ensemble. I suited and thus began my going on for dance. I never went to kindergarten and to my mind it isn't an omission at all because I was looked after by my grandparents and uncles and ants and they tried not only to entertain me but also to give me some knowledge. But surely the ones who mostly took care of my preschool education were my parents. Owing to this in 1989 I entered the school no.7 with quite good reading and writing skills.

My first teacher Lyahova Valentyna Andreevna somehow created such an atmosphere in the class that every child strove to be the first and the best, so from the very beginning of my education I studied diligently and fought for the championship. My group was an experimental one so we began to study a foreign language - French - from the very first days. Also due to our teacher's initiative all children in our class were going in for ballroom dancing. For that purpose we had our dance trainer Mass Igor Vlodimirovich regularly visiting us. I loved dance classes both in the pioneers' palace and at school and although they took pretty much of my time I managed to study other disciplines diligently and get "A"s. When I was in the 3rd grade I began to attend the music school for piano classes.

I've always liked animals so when I found out that there was the young naturalist club at the pioneers' palace I persuaded Mother to let me attend it by promising her it wouldn't influence my school marks.

I've studied at music school for four years but didn't graduate because it turned out there wasn't enough time for everything.

The year of 1994 was quite a "revolutional" one for me. We moved to another apartment and because of that I had to give up my dance classes and the young naturalist club. At the same time at school (and this was the 9th grade) a severe competition for the gold medals certificates had begun. I had to sink my head into studies and even give up going out with friends. I did my best, took parts in district school olympiads where I took first places in Economics and French. Meanwhile I began to ponder upon where it would be better to continue my studying and I came up to the point that the only place where I can really get proper education was Donetsk state technical university.

The 11th grade was the hardest one. My little brother was born. I had to struggle for the gold medal. I had to make up my mind on which profession I might choose and how and where I might take entrance exams. After weighing all "pros" and "contras" I decided to take the exams to the department of energomechanics and automation with the specialization "The automated control of technological processes and manufacture" (former mining electrotechnics and automatics). My Mother found me a good private teacher of math and owing to her I entered the DSTU.

Since I graduated from school with the gold medal I had to take the interview only and instantly I entered the DSTU. It was hard at the beginning and that made me quite bewildered but shortly I pulled myself together. Nevertheless, I got "C" at the very first exam - the first "C" in my life! - that time I felt like I was going to die. But thanks to that "C" I started to study with such anger and such zeal that became one of the best students and got the Bachelor's Diploma With Honors.

Being a 2nd-year student I had an occasion to take part in conference among institutes of higher education students on automatics and automated control systems which was held in Sevastopol. After the conference I came home with the good memories and a diploma. Owing to all those difficulties I had while studying I somehow grew stronger, became inured and more self-confident, and I estimated my abilities and capabilities. My friends, I think, are another great acquisition I made during that time. My friends and I faced and overcame a lot and I hope to keep our warm relations after we finished the university.

Boris Vladimirovich Gavrilenko became my professor. At the time (the 3rd year) we had to make our minds concerning that - I had already made my choice because I heard students talk of him as of a good professor and a great person. The research topic "The development of automating systems for blind drifts ventilation " was offered to me by Boris Vladimirovich. I wasn't a big specialist in the ventilation field at that time so I had to work hard and read a lot to master this subject.

When we became the 4th year students teachers began telling us about the Master's Degree and all the advantages it gives. And as I made a good progress in my studies and as Boris Vladimirovich advised me to - I decided to get the Master's Degree. I passed the state specialization exam with the mark "A" and was allowed to study for the degree.

At present I'm involved into the development of automating systems for blind drifts ventilation and do my best to graduate with the Master's Degree. I have printed papers in the university published summaries of the 3rd International students' and aspirants' conference on science and technology " The automation of technological processes and manufacture. The search of the young - 2003", 2nd International students' science and technology conference "Liquid and gas mechanics - 2003", 5th international youth science conference " Severgeoekotech - 2004". I delivered reports in these conferences.

Relatively my future plans I will try to create f good family of my own and I'll do everything to make those who are dear to happy. And though they say family and career are not quite compatible things I still want to work and to be helpful for my husband and I want all the energy I'll tribute to my work to be spent fruitfully.
