The Characteristic: G.Sh.Rafikov, the Senior Lecturer, has been working at the Department "Automation and Telecommunikations" since September, 1979. Being the lecturer of the Department he showed himself as an erudite teacher, talanted scientist and experienced head of the students' scientific-technical creativity. He gave intelligibly his scientific and pedagogical knowledge to the students at the lectures, laboratory and practical classes. He has prepared and conducted courses on the basic disciplines, such as "The theory of automatic control", "The local control systems", "The optimum and adaptive systems", " The modern theory of control", "Digital systems of control", etc.
The students' scientific works under the guidance of the Senior Lecturer G.Sh.Rafikov on the theme of "Technical cybernetics, information and computing technics" have been awarded with the diplomas of "The winner" and "Insentive" since 1980.
The most productive period of work of the Senior Lecturer G.Sh.Rafikov at the guidance of SRWS is marked from the beginning of the 90s and up to the present. During this period three or four students' scientific works were represented annually on the All-Ukrainian Competition of students' scientific works, and all of them were awarded with the diplomas of "The Winner".
G.Sh.Rafikov, the Senior Lecturer, takes an active part in the work of competitive commission at consideration of students works in the University and All-Ukrainian competition. He has made a great contribution to activization of scientific-research students' work both in the Department of Automation and Telecommunications and in the Faculty a Computerized Information Technologies and Automatics.
For achieved success and skilful management of SRWS a gratitude was declared by the Rector's order to the Senior Lecturer G.Sh.Rafikov.
For all this, the Senior Lecturer G.Sh.Rafikov was awarded with the decoration "The Honours Master of Ukraine Education" (order ¹526 from
09.11.2000).
