Modernization of 9-th unit Telecommunication network of DONETSK

Now the requirement for many telecommunication services for set of subscribers grows, and existing telecommunication network Donetsk cannot give a spectrum of high-grade services. Therefore the problem of reorganization and development to become all is more actual. In the near future transition to a network constructed on technology MGN is planned. Use of the given technology allows to use connection « everyone with everyone », abstraction of users from technologies of realization of services of communication(connection), flexibility of reception of a necessary set, volume and quality of the services, a full transparency of mutual relations between the seller and the buyer of services.

Transition Telecommunication network to a high-grade MGN-network should be carried out stage by stage. The first stage has been carried out in 2003 when in Donetsk construction of a fibre-optical ring by extent of 89 km has been completed, the including 6 transport units organized on base ÓÈÑ and ÓÂÑ. On base ÓÈÑ ¹9 the transport unit 95 has been organized. Structure of rings and inclusion in it of unit ¹9 is submitted on pic. 1.

Thus to images the base of a transport network is incorporated. At the second stage it is necessary to carry out connection of all existing automatic telephone exchanges to a ring through SoftSwitch. Thus will be used transition from the imposed network of the data on a voice network to the multiservice network initially designed for the voice traffic and the traffic of the data. The third a stage it is necessary to carry out modernization of networks of access.

The primary goal ìàãèñòåðñêîé works consists in development of the plan of modernization of unit of access ¹ 9 which is one of the central units of access in difference with this above stages and tendencies of development of telecommunication networks. The unit is translate for the automatic telephone exchanges which are included in a zone of service of unit (pic. 1). Long-distance communication  is carried out in part through the considered  unit, and is in part direct with ÌÀÒS .

The unit ¹ 9 serves some the central microdistricts. The total of the subscribers connected to terminal automatic telephone exchanges of a zone, makes approximately 20 thousand subscribers. Thus the big percent is represented by computer subscribers with the high traffic of the data, requirements of the population and the organizations by quantity of terminals and quality of given services increase, therefore already now there is a question about connection new subscribers and to packages of given services, that is problems of the third stage.

This above stages do not assume their consecutive performance. That is last stage of modernization of a network of access is necessary for making already now, for example, to connect new subscribers using technology NGN, such in the image that subscribers, having access to switchboard NGN, received a base set of services, plus additional services: broadband access, video by inquiry, a IP-telephony, multimedia services. The equipment of program switching in NGN plays a role of a universal hardware-software complex, the converter of the signal system which will transform reports of the signal system as to networks with switching channels: CONSTRUCTION DEPARTMENT - 7, DSS1, V5, CAS, and in a network of batch switching - reports of a IP-telephony: H 323, SIP, MGCP, MEGACO/H.248.

Further, for reorganization of unit, connection of all automatic telephone exchanges of unit through SoftSwitch - the program switchboard is planned; full transition to digital technologies and greatest possible digitalize a user's network.

 

 

CONCLUSIONS

1.     The prospect of transition Telecommunication network of Donetsk from two separate networks (with switching channels and packages) to multiservice network MGN where functions of central (transit) automatic telephone exchanges will be carried out with the program switchboard is considered.

2.     Within the framework of the given transition stage-by-stage modernization of unit ¹9 existing Telecommunication network is considered.
