Moving of a coal combine in longwall

For normal functioning the system of the automated equipment has to receive the information on various controllable parameters, one of which is the location of coal combine in the longwall.

The control of the location of coal combine can indirectly be carried out (for example, on number of parts of a traction circuit), and to the passed way (for example, from sensors or their elements by signals with the indication of number the sensor or its element.

In the first automated coal-mining complexes the control of the location of coal combine was carried out by calculation number of impulses from elements of the sensor which were placed along a way of the coal combine. Such sensor of the location of coal combine represents the separated design which consists from sensitive and operating elements. The sensitive element is executed on the basis of two reed relays, which are from each other shifted.

The displacement transducer of combine 1 is intended to control the size and direction of displacement of coal combines. It contains 2 ferreed contacts and 2 screens - "displacement", "direction".

The block of reception of information about moving and a direction of movement of a combine is applied. The block is placed on the feeder and is a part of the complex that controls the work of coal combines. The roll of traction element of the feeder carries out rotation of the screen which has five shielding ledges. They move above the opened cores of coils of inductance of resonant circuits and cause reduction of their resonance resistance. Consecutive suppression of oscillation in oscillators is carried out in the shaper.

Thus, it is necessary two sensors to define the location and direction of movement of the combine.

The combines have control systems which use industrial controllers now. These systems have block structure that expands their functionalities due to addition of new blocks and modernization of working programs. Such technical decision allows to build the additional block to define a site and speed of the combine on the basis of the inductive pick-ups of approach and the microcontroller in the system (fig. 1). Inductive pick-ups of approach are established above one of the sprockets of the reducer of a drive of submission. The microcontroller processes signals and passes results of processing to the main controller.

Block and functional diagrams of the developed device are presented on fig. 2 and fig. 3. Inductive pik-ups of approach with discrete current outputs are applied to define the location of coal combine. Optrons are applied to maintain the electric circuits sparkproof and the coordination of target signals of sensors with entrance signals of the microcontroller in the functional scheme.

The developed device is intended to work with the existing equipment of combine automation consisting of blocks, connected to the onboard controller by means of the communication report RS485 and supports signaling according to this report. The converter of communication RS232/RS485 is applied in the scheme because the standard communication report is RS232 in all microcontrollers. Protection of the microcontroller is realized by means of optrons. The function of display of a sensors status (short circuit, breakage, wrong installation of sensors) is realized in the block of indication on light-emitting diodes. The basic electric scheme is presented on fig. 4.

The microcontroller AT90S2313 produced by company ATMEL is applied in the device. Converter ADM1487 is used for direct and return transformation of the communication report RS232 in RS485.

Calculation of the way in impulses is carried out through the constant which the main controller passes. It allows to have one unified program in the device for different types of combines, that considerably reduces its cost. The remote control of the coal combine excludes any presence of miners in the technological process of coal extraction.
