Urgency of work

   The terrestrial surface is in continuous movement as a result of activity of mines. In its turn it leads to deformations of ground objects, failure of equipment and some other destructive actions. To avoid such consequences, in practice geodesists carry out precalculation of expected subsidence and deformations of a terrestrial surface, and take corresponding measures of protection. For Donbass it is necessary to know that. In educational building ¹3 of DonNTU buildings damages in the form of cracks have been revealed under the influence of deformations. therefore there was a necessity for supervision.

The purposes and problems

   The purposes of supervision:
- specification of initial parameters for calculation of subsidence and deformations of a terrestrial surface. Initial parameters are: boundary corners; a corner of the maximal subsidence; corners of full subsidence; relative size of the maximal subsidence, relative size of horizontal subsidence.
- Specification of parameters of subsidence process. Parameters of subsidence are corners subsidence, the general duration and the period of dangerous deformations of a terrestrial surface;
- specification of distribution of deformations of a terrestrial surface.
- specification of interrelation of deformations of the foundation and damages of buildings and constructions.
- supervision over efficiency of constructive protective actions.
   For realization of the purposes the following problems have been put:
- to study carefully places of infringement of a building;
- to calculate marks of each reference point (the planned place);
- to construct structures by the received results;
- measurements are carriid out on a regular basis, since for revealing infringements of a building it is necessary to have numerous results to judge infringements.

The basic methods of researches and their results

   My scientific theme has arisen with the advent of infringements of a building, in the form of vertical cracks. They were observed on a facade of a building,and indoors: on walls, on the floor, etc. overlappings. For research of deformations of the 3-rd educational building of DonNTU two methods have been offered:
1) vertical control network of the 2-nd class;
2) gravimeter observations.
   Devices
While carrying out the supervision of 3-rd educational building DonNTU the method of vertical control network of 2-nd class, and also gravimeter observations have been applied. In this connection there was a necessity for application of precision devices. Thus, following devices have been used:
- nivelir N-05;
- a roulette;
- gravimeter the GNU-KC.

Conclusion

   On the basis of the above said I offer:
   1. To a paint pawn new observant station: to put the paint soil a reference point on lines, on a facade of a building, from northern part and from a southern part, and wall a reference point on a line of southern and northern part of a building. Also to put the paint observant station in corridors of a building.
   2. According to item 8.1 of the instruction on levelling I, II, III and IV classes levelling of 2-nd class is executed by the persons who have the higher or average technical education and have a special training.
