Biography

I am Olga Alexandrovna Dovzhenko. I was born on February, 29, 1984 in Donetsk, where I live now. Both my parents (Dovzhenko Alexander Ivanovich, Dovzhenko Svetlana Ivanovna) have engineering education.

In 1991 I went into primary school ¹ 150 in Donetsk. After the third form I passed general-required tests and was accepted into a mathematical class. In 2000 my school got status of Donetsk educational complex of continuous development ¹2 (ECCD ¹2). Additionally in 1996 I entered an art school, where I was studying during 2 years, and then I left it because of my main teacher leaving. In the 10th form, after students’ allocation for scientist sections, I became a member of informatics and application programs section. I was a head of it till school ending. I became interested in a personal computer and application programs there at first. I got first skills and abilities of computer work there. And some time later I began to study the simplest educational programming language – Turbo Pascal. Probably it was the first reason for university and faculty choosing. And it caused my further studying.

Mathematics was the most interesting discipline for me in the period of school studying. I repeatedly became the winner of district mathematics Olympiads, and also I took the third place on a city mathematics Olympiad. But mathematics was one of the exact sciences which I gave the time. But we had not skilled teacher of physics, and I sharply feel it now, because physics is one of the main disciplines for me today. But humanitarian sciences, as Ukrainian and foreign literature, history and foreign languages, interested me much more all the time. And now it is not enough humanitarian sciences in the university educational plan for me. But school teachers influence is substantial even now, they instilled me interest in literature, history and arts. In 2001 I finished the ECCD ¹ 2 and started my studying in DonNTU on the faculty of computer information technologies and automation (CIT&A) – the Electronic systems speciality.

Speciality was chosen by casual – when I decided to submit documents for the DonNTU rating tests. I knew a faculty, which I would like to study on, and speciality I chose rashly. I hardly ever realized my further studying perspectives. But I got enough points for a budgetary studying already after the first attempt and decided not to try entering in another university.

During the university studying I took part in the III scientific technical conference «Devicebuilding – 2004» (Kiev, Ukraine). I appeared with the article, which I had developed at the third course with my scientific – leader professor, doctor of the technical sciences N.I. Chichikalo («Mobile device for the people temperature field analysis »). And also I was a speaker of the international scientific technical conference «Hydrogen treatment of the materials - 2004» (Donetsk, Ukraine).

Now except basic speciality disciplines, I study English and German, continue deeper studying of F.M. Dostoevskii and P.M. Zagrebelnii literature works and try to fill gaps in my liberal knowledge, which have been left after school ending. Also I started learning masterpieces of the surrealism direction artists, especially Salvador Dali.

I have learned English in the deep studying group (in DonNTU) to prepare and successfully pass the FCE (the First Certificate Exams) and receive the international certificate of English knowledge since the second course.

In 2005 I excellent passed state examinations (on speciality and Ukrainian) and got the diploma of electronics bachelor. So I decided to continue my studying to receive master degree in DonNTU. Thanks to my scientific leader (prof., t.s.d. N.I. Chichikalo) influence I have chosen the theme of master's degree work «Substantiation of methods and means choice of measuring of buildings deviation from the vertical line». I think this theme is actual now, especial for our region. Because there are substantial soils’ displacements and earth's crust deformations in Donbass, because of big amount of coal mines. As a result buildings are under destruction threat, and it can be very dangerous for the people’s life. So I have chosen this theme for my master's work to reveal and prevent such situations.

In the nearest future I want to write and protect my master's work successfully due to the chosen theme, to get the master's degree in electronics and find job due to received speciality. Also I am going to continue studying German and English. And then I hope to get the second higher education, probably it will be the speciality «Foregin economic activity».

PS: I am very thankful to my parents, and especially to my mother, for support, which they are giving to me, and for love, which they are surrounding me.
