• Rambler - the search machine which started work in 1996. In the first years of the existence the Rambler with a comprehensible degree of accuracy indexed all Russian Web. Lacks of it are: among the given references there are idle resources, the base of indexing is poorly updated. Quite good results at Russian-speaking and English-speaking inquiries. The amount of resulting references exceeds Yandex, however last gives a lot of useful references.
• Yandex - it has been created in 1996 as Russian morphological prefix to American system AltaVista. Is the leader among the Russian search systems. The Yandex conducts search in all Russian part of the Internet, including domains ru, su, and as Russian-speaking resources in other domains. The amount of references by inquiries is less than, for example, in Rambler, however the Yandex gives out the greater number of correct references. From Russian-speaking search machines the Yandex is the most productive. By English-speaking inquiries gives out average results.
• Google - very much advanced multilingual search machine of the second generation in which the user can choose language of the interface. In sight Google is almost 6 billion Web-pages. Takes a leading position at English-speaking inquiries. Has shown average results at Russian-speaking inquiries, however at English-speaking the amount of references makes some millions!
• Meta-Ukraine - rather new Ukrainian search system. Has shown very low results by all inquiries, approximately equal both for Russian and for the English key words.
• Aport - Search machine Aport has started in 1997, conducts search by key words and on phrases. To the beginning of its work in its base was indexed one million documents. Aport by search takes in account morphology of words, in difference, for example, from a Rambler. Has shown average results of search at all inquiries.
