Short biography:

I was born in a small town (about twenty five thousand people) of Kurakhovo on the 21st of June in 1986. My mother’s name is Dukova Tatyana Ivanovna and my father’s name was Dukov Gennadiy Dmitrievich (he died in 2003). My mother is pharmacist and works in Donetsk in chemist's shop called “Sarepta”. My father was head of electric department of the Kurakhovo’s electric station. I was sent to kindergarten called “Skazka”. I remember my childhood in this statement only fragmentary, so I can’t tell about anything prominent. By the time of school preliminary examinations, I could read, write, add, subtract, multiply and divide.

On the 1st of September in 1993 I was sent to school to get something in my head. For first two years I studied at school ¹2 (there were five schools like that in our town). Next it happened so that I’ve passed the exams and have entered a city’s polytechnic lyceum. Lyceum is divided into two parts: the part for more yang children (before 5th form) and for older ones (from 5th till 11th form). In the 3rd form I’ve decided to master guitar at art school in our town. Well, although I didn’t master Yuingwie Malmsteen’s “shred” or evil and fast play-techniques of Alexi Laiho (Children Of Bodom), something useful I’ve learned and want to thank my teacher Kuksa Nikolay Mikchaylovich for it. I’ve passed exams to half-time tuition in school “Erudit” of Donetsk city on the section of informatics (I’m fully thankful to my teacher Sploshnova Zhanna Anatolyevna for her choice of me). All remained time was spend studying computer and IT. I took part in different competitions and won 3rd prize at 9th and 10th forms, and won a 2nd prize at 11th form. Also I took part at scientific works competition to a Small Science Academy of Ukraine and won a 2nd prize there.

I didn’t have a headache with university choice, because one place worth (as I thought) to enter to, was Donetsk national technical university. But at first time I was thinking to go to study on specialty “program applications”, but as result of some kind of “satori” I was writing rating exams on the specialty “system programming”. So on the 1st of September in 2003 I went to university.

I was a head of group SP-03a from 1st course till 4th. Among achievements I can mention a command second place in the competition in system programming, which was held in Kharkiv. I understood that university is not enough to get all knowledge I need. So I started searching for a job and studying new programming technologies (it’s a pity, but university can help not enough in such area of knowledge). My search was crowned with success by the end of third course. I’ve found a job with a flexible timetable and normal (as for a student) salary. So I began to train my skills in C++ program writing in practice. Besides, I’ve learned a new language for me called PHP and became familiar with regular expressions.

The topic of my magister work («Monitoring user activity, using rootkits technologies») was choosing by my supervisor (Shevchenko Olga Georgievna) and me on the basis of needs of my current work and a possibility of scientific research. These criteria are suited by program which needs to spy by user’s actions. It has to make it invisibly for user (even if user is “advanced skilled”). Main workload is situated on the realization of invisibility in the operational system of Windows XP class. There are different variants of implementation of such task. So I need to explore all of them, make a decision about most efficient and suitable and optimize it if there will be such a possibility. The study itself at magistracy seems to me rather interesting, but to say honestly, I can’t see “point” of some disciplines.

I have a desire to use received knowledge in practice, improve my skills and study next, because progress doesn’t wait for anyone. Of course I want to work and get a valuable experience of developer. Such prospects are rather foggy and undefined. Life is too unstable thing, and it doesn’t let you plan something for such a big term as for example for 25 years or something like that. Nevertheless I want to direct by my own program projects, development department in some big firm or even be a president of my own firm after near 20-25 years.
