"Research of CADsystems of high-tension transmission lines"


Introduction

CAD system – is a system:

-         Which is intended for different design works fulfillment with the use of IT technologies;

-          Which enables to execute a design and a manufacturing documentation for different products, buildings and facilities.

As an input information this system uses technical knowledge of the specialists. They set design requirements, specify the results, examine the ultimate  construction and modify it if necessary.

CAD system is a set of application programs, which provides designing, drawing, 3D design and different parts modeling,

The purpose of CAD system launch

Speaking about the energetic, we should point out, that companies, which don’t implement this system or which use it partly are uncompetitive because of both huge design expenditures and poor quality products. It is the main reason why more and more companies are trying to launch CAD system. This fact may be also explained by the desire of managers to simplify the designer work, to boost the efficiency and to improve quality of the projects. The launch of the CAD system in the project institutions and organizations allows to hasten project implementation and to decrease the influence of the human factor significantly.

The main high transmission lines designing problems, which are solved with the help of CAD system

The air transmission facilities designing is a laborious task.  Usually several departments of the designing company participate in working out a problem. Line research and planning work is carried out by the research department. Conductor and rope calculation, pylon arrangement are the obligations of the line department. Designers and builders are responsible for the foundation calculation and pylon strength. An optical cable that is hang up on the pylons or that is used as an anti thunder rope is designed by the signalers.

That’s why projecting automation must cover the whole engineering chain.

After all electrotechnical matters are solved the transmission line mechanical part designing begins with the research results analysis and transmission line projecting.

Line designing and research results processing may be fulfilled with the help of some geodesic program such as GeoniCS. As a result we get a drawing of the line with the sideview representation, geology and crossing conditions description and also an information about the line degree of rotation. This is an initial data for the pylon arrangement.

Modern programs are intended for the pylon placing calculation automotation, for checking the overall stage and crossing distance, for    current-carrying parts distance  controlling and electric cross check, for foundation load calculation and also for equipment specifications.

The science newness of the project

The attempts of the student to automotize the high – tension transmission lines designing were quite successful. «ÓÈ ÑÀÏÐ - DOS» set of programs was developed – it is an educational research system of the air line automotized designing on DOS basis. Algorithm of the program was worked out according to ÏÓÝ – 86. After ÏÓÝ – 2006 launch the methodology of the conductor strength calculation changed considerably. It is connected with the fact that new terms of division into districts in the case of the wind or silver thaw were added.

The purpose of this Master’s work is to modify some designing procedures according to the modern terms.

The review of the subject research and developments

Having studied the material we come to a conclusion that there are no worthy Ukrainian developments in this sphere. At the same time such products were introduced by some Russian firms.

The strongest set of programs today is CAD TL – 2008. It is worked out for designing of air transmission line with the tension 35kV and more. The work with the program is based on the clear interface, almost each unit has its own “User manual” and works on the AutoCAD basis. Developing the program much attention was devoted to the integrated data system. So, when we feed the information about climatic conditions into the unit “Systematic conductor calculation”, it becomes available to any other unit through the profile linkage. All information is preserved and may be read by other units.

One more set of programs  EnergyCS Line is developed for the pylon placing calculation automotation, for checking the overall stage and crossing distance, for    current-carrying parts distance  controlling and electric cross check, for foundation load calculation and also for equipment specifications.

A list of the main results and prospectives

Mechanical calculation is a basic method of air transmission line designing. At the moment of writing the author's abstract there was a program developed with the use of the Delphi programming language. Today one of the most essential disadvantages is a development DOS – interface, that’s why the main task for today is a development of Windows – interface, program work visualization and database modernization.
