My father, Novikov Sergey Georgievich, graduated mining technical school in Dzerzhinsk and worked in Dzerzhinskiy Mine. By mischance he left this world, but he would always be the example for me. I have the elder brother. He supports me in any my undertaking, as my mother. His name is Novikov Artem Sergeevich. He was born on May 20th in 1981. He graduated the Road College in Gorlovka. Now he works as the main specialist in transport and communication, he has a good family: a beautiful wife and two sons.

When I was 2, I went to the kindergarten “Teremok”. When I was 5, I wanted to practice music. I was suggested to play violin and was very glad of it. My music teacher was Sinichkina Tat’yana Ivanovna – a fine person and a talented teacher. She took a special place in my life. She became my good friend

     Schooldays

On September, 1st in 1994 I went to the school ¹6. From the very beginning I studied successfully, I had excellent marks. I was a very active child. I took part in a lot of events. Also I visited dance classes and drawing group. In a music school I sang in a choir. In the 8th form I finished the music school. On my brother’s advice I went in for hiking. The time of different competitions started. We were winning the city-competitions in hiking, orienting and mountaineering during three years. The main events, of course, were walking tours. In the 11th form I became a referee and could coach younger children. My favorite school subjects were mathematics, informatics and chemistry. In the 11th form I became a member of Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the range of mathematics and informatics. I’m very obliged to my school teachers, which have implanted love for knowledge in me.

During my studying in school I decided that I would enter Donetsk national technical university. It is one of the eldest and most respected universities in Donetsk and Ukraine. I decided to follow my parents’ footsteps and entered the Faculty of Geology. I wanted to study something interesting and unusual. That’s why I chose the major in geological survey, reconnaissance and exploration. I passed all the entrance exams successfully and expected for the beginning of students’ life.

     University

On September 1st in 2004 I became a student. I got a lot of new acquaintances and met good friends. The studying was very interesting for me and after the practical training in the Crimea Mountains I understood that I had chosen the right profession for me. In the second year I became a union organizer of my group. When I was in third year I took part in the scientific conference in Philosophy and took 2nd place in my subject. When I was a four-year student I defended the honour of my faculty in the contest of students’ scientific works in Krivoy Roh. For me it was great achievement. All the practical trainings I underwent in the native Dzerzhinsk.

My favorite subjects were structural geology and geotectonics.

And I would make a special mention of Karaly M.D., Privalov V.A., Tarasova V.A., Pavlov I.O., Korchemaghin V.A.
