Introduction

Informatization of education is one of the main directions of informatization in the modern world. Education is an important stage in our life. Therefore, it is necessary to approach him with due respect and knowledge of the case. The learning process should be developed and improved.

The rapid development of information technologies makes it possible to apply them in the educational sphere today. Now almost in every audience there is a projector. It allows you to visualize the flow of information, thereby improving the quality and effectiveness of student learning.

Computers use for various tasks, such as performing practical and laboratory work, studying programs, utilities, operating systems, etc. The Internet [1] is an integral part of education as well. Therefore, the introduction of this technology is a priority. Information is the basis of all education. Therefore, the construction of a single information space is actual.

1. General characteristic of the design object

One of the buildings of Donetsk National Technical University was chosen for research. Its construction was started in 1986. The educational institution was founded in 1921. For all time, the university has changed several names. It was called Mining College, DPI, DonSTU, and since 2001 – DonNTU [2]. All buildings of the university are located in the center of the city, their location is rather profitable for students.

The building is an eight-storey building. There are 106 classrooms in it. The width of the building is 18 m, length – 80 m, height – 24 m. The total area is 11.5 thousand m2.

2. Urgency of building a network

In this institution of higher education, there are wireless networks. Teachers and management use them for work purposes. Wireless equipment does not cover the whole building, but only covers its small part. A new wireless network will be built.

The aim of the work is to build a wireless access network [4] for students and teachers to the information resources of the educational institution with the improvement of communication quality. This will provide coverage of the entire building wireless network, as well as access to the information required in the educational process. Such as books, guidelines and other teaching materials, which greatly accelerate learning.

3. Goals and objectives

Setting goals and objectives is a key element for further work. Without an understanding of what should be next, there will be no result. Each person in the performance of any task should have an idea of what needs to be done.

The task of this work is to build a wireless network for students and teachers. The aim of the work is to ensure the quality of the wireless communication network, determine the number of subscribers, the principle of access to the service, eliminate problems with signal propagation and connect subscribers, and improve the services provided.

4. Subscriber Analysis

The subscriber composition of this building is about 600 people. Among them 70 employees of the educational institution, the rest – students. Previously, we can assume that the service will be used by about 30% of the total. It is 180 subscribers. However, it should be noted that the use of the service will occur at different times with different number of subscribers, which reduces the amount of network traffic consumed.

5. Select a Wi-Fi standard

To build a network of access to information resources, Wi-Fi technology [12] and the 802.11ac Wave 2 standard with MU-MIMO technology have been selected. The advantage of the new standard is a wider range of network coverage and a stronger and more stable signal, which makes it possible to cover the premises using only one router.

These improvements were achieved using beamforming technology (the so-called beamforming) – which is able to recognize the location of the installed device and starts a Wi-Fi signal directly to this device. This technology allows you to significantly increase the signal quality, which will ensure stable operation, no matter how far you are from the source. Features of the technology allow you to connect to the network significantly more simultaneous clients than in the previous version of the standard.

Conclusion

In the first part of the work the design object was selected, subscriber composition analysis was performed, goals and tasks were set, wireless technologies were considered, and a standard was chosen for further work.
