Since December, 1, 1999 on the basis of faculty MEA the representation of Open Company "Sterling Group Ukraine" in Donetsk area is created.

     Open Company "Sterling Group Ukraine" is the Ukrainian - Swiss joint venture included in holding Sterling Group, founded in 1992 with headquarters in Neyshtatel, Switzerland.

     The nucleus of holding is generated on the basis of lines of enterprises VPK in which a regional network branches in Moscow, Voronezh, Perm, Saint Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Kaliningrad, Megion, Omsk, Ufa, Novosibirsk, in Ukraine (Zaporozhye, Donetsk) and the enterprises in Switzerland, Austria and Finland now enters. Branches in Vladivostok, Nizhni Novgorod and Astrakhan are open.

     The holding "Sterling Group Ukraine" is based in Zaporozhye and is division of Open Company "Sterling Group" (Moscow). One of the major directions of holding is creation of the automated control systems by technological processes by means of SCADA - systems on the basis of industrial controllers of manufacture "Allen Bradley", complex network technologies of firms "Hewlett - Packard", "Cisco", systems of processing and storage of the information "Oracle" etc. The created systems already function at the enterprises: Open Society "MotorSich", "Styrene", "AutoVAS", the Zaporozhye transformer factory, joint-stock company "Machine-building plant" (Electrostal), the Krasnoyarsk factory of nonferrous metals, SPC Dneprovskie electropower networks, Open Society "Zaporozoblenergo" and others.

     According to the agreement between Donetsk national technical university and holding "Sterling Group Ukraine" on the basis of faculty "Mining electrotechnic and automatic " (MEA) DonNTU the representation of this holding in Donetsk area is open. The director of representation in Donetsk area appoints manager of faculty MEA K. N. Marenich.

     Tasks of representation:

1. The organization of educational process on preparation of experts (including, retraining of experts of the industrial enterprises) in the field of designing and operation of ASC TP "Rockwell Automation" and "Allen Bradley".
2. Coordination of actions in realization of projects of automation of technological processes at the enterprises of Donetsk area, participation in realization of projects of ACS TP at the enterprises of Ukraine.

     In connection with the order №25 from December, 1, 1999 on DonNTU on faculty MEA the educational scientific laboratory of ACS TP (ESL ACS TP) which supervisor of studies is G.V.Serezentinov was created.

     Its tasks are:

• training to principles of formation of ACS TP;
• development of industrial controllers of families Micrologix 1000, 1500; SLC-500, PLC-5, ControlLogic 5500;
• training to programming of industrial controllers of firm Allen Bradley in language of ladder logic - RSLogix;
• training to the software of communication of computer systems of the top level and industrial controllers networks - RSLinx;
• training to means of creation of human- machine interface of firm "Rockwell software TM" - RSView 32;
• training to the integrated program platform for monitoring industrial processes - RTAP / PLUS.

     Corporation "Rockwell Automation" and firm "Allen Bradley" are divisions of NASA. In the 70th years they have successfully solved a problem of automation of flight of the person on the Moon. Now they have developed essentially new ideology of creation of ACS TP which is widely distributed in the world at the enterprises of leading firms of America, Europe (including The CIS - "AutoVAS", "MotorSich", "Stirol", Dneprovskaja energy system etc.).

     ACS TP of the mentioned firms adapt to ACS TP of other firms (which among themselves, as a rule technically clash). Both equipment and software of "Rockwell Automation" are simple in operation and clear for users. They operatively allow correcting technological process without additional purchase of the software, if necessary, - without a stop of process.

     ACS TP of "Rockwell Automation" assume adaptation with those gauges and communication lines which are available for the consumer, are not critical to a lot of kinds and parameters of other peripheral equipment. It the ideology "Rockwell Automation" differs at creation of ACS TP which, finally, will allow to supersede and already supersedes other approaches in the field of ACS TP just as the ideology "Microsoft" became dominant in the field of computer technology.
