Repair of wells is one of those multiple procedures which is intended to support an available fund of wells working, the majority of them have entered a late stage of the development. Year by year the structure of oil stocks degrades, and wells grow old. Ageing wells (their age is estimated in decades, and even half a century) are worth mentioning. Their capital repair is required non-ordinary, new approaches.

There are certain kinds of works which are considered to be the most labour-consuming. One of them is restoration of cased strings work capacity. It may be fulfilled traditionally when the place of required repair is simply filled in by cement or a complementary string of smaller diameter is cemented and directed there or it may be repaired using a method of wells pressure test which is nowadays one of the most reliable methods of damaged sections localization.

Disadvantage of the existing devices is that the rigid tumulus-puncheon of longitudinal goffered patch preliminary expansion directly contacts the patch and it is exposed to overloads quickly wearing out and demanding frequent substitution. Another disadvantage of the devices is the possibility of blocking up as a result of immediate mechanical affecting a tumulus-puncheon in the cased string.

A way out of the given situation is the application of another patch expansion technology. But all abovementioned difficulties can be solved affecting the patch by fluid under a high pressure by means of packer devices. The result of work is the device for installation of a patch in a well which includes the hollow body with end-to-end radial openings and at least one packer element fixed on it, a plug on the bottom end of the body, an extended patch and a patch fixing unit, containing the bush and cooperating with it spring-bais horns the difference of which is that for the purpose of simplification of a construction device and the technology of its use in a hole between the plug and external surface of the body the ring-type space is made in which one bush of the patch fixing unit is erected and moreover end-to-end radial openings for horns accommodation are made in the plug, and the bottom end of the packer element is erected having a possibility of the restrained axial movement and linked to the patch fixing unit bush.

The result of all fulfilled work is the creation of the device the advantage of which is the opportunity of miltiple use without any details the substitution, maintenace reliability (blocking up in a well is excluded), conformity to its ergonomics and industrial art, safety requirements, industrial sanitary requirements and labour safety requirements.
