My family is big and wonderful. My parents: mother, Buldigina Nadezhda Petrovna, and father, Vigdergauz Leonid Pavlovich, are both engineers. My grandfather, Vigdergauz Pavel Isaakovich, is a famous architect. A lot of buildings in Donetsk and in different cities of the USSR have been designed by him. Even the statue of the Miner on the Miner's Square, which became the symbol of our city, is his project. I'm very proud of my grandfather. My grandmother, Tamara Davidovna, is a doctor. By the way, my grandparents have been together for 58 years! I think it's great. And, lastly, my sister Marina – she has realized the dream of our grandfather, she is following in his footsteps. Now she is a student of the National Academy of Engineering and Architecture.

About myself. When I was a child I used to be interested in all things at once. It would be strange if having such grandfather I wasn't keen on drawing. And I did it quite well, I took part with my pictures in some exhibitions. But the strongest in me was the love to sport, especially to callisthenics. As a result I dedicated 12(!) years of my life to gymnastics. So I can say that sport for me is not only a hobby, it's an essential part of my life.

I don't know how, but I still had some time for studying. From the 1st till 8th form I studied at school №12, and I have a lot of pleasant memories from that time. I learned well and took part in many competitions in different subjects. The biggest achievement, I think, was the second place in a contest in Russian.

After the eighth form I entered Donetsk Technical College. I couldn't choose between school and college for a long time, so at last I chose college and I'm glad that I did. First, I was surprised by the atmosphere there – it was an aspiration to knowledge and very high level of education, and secondly – all the teachers were beautiful. Apart from the main subjects we learned French, Greek, different economical subjects and another interesting things. Suddenly physics became my favourite subject, so I decided to enter a technical field.

The high level of education in college let me enter the university by the results of my previous exams in spring. So in summer I just finished the 11th form, received the gold medal and… relaxed.

The decision about the place for study was not very difficult. As for university, "DPI" – the oldest higher school in Donetsk and everyone knows that it provides very good education. As for faculty of Computer Informational Technologies and Automation – such specialists are needed everywhere now.

So, September 1, 2001. I'm a student. Since that moment the best time in my life had started. Absolutely everything was new and interesting for me, a lot of new friends, different student travels (the brightest memories), new acquaintances, and, of course, studying – hard, but interesting. These years have pasted very quickly, I really regret that all this is finished.

Due to my good performance and a bachelor diploma with distinction I'm doing my Master course now. The theme of my master's work is "Exploration of system's characteristics for control by object burden state". In more detaile – it is the system of control of the most vulnerable places in buildings. This problem is topical in Donbass. In our region there are a lot of industrial buildings the foundation of which – complex constructions from metal and reinforced concrete are located over mines. During their exploitation it's important to have an opportunity for control the strains in different points of the building which arise from outward influence. This will allow to respond to dangerous modifications and to avoid emergency situations.
