(urgent on the biginning of 2007) |
An average mark during education at the university is 4.5. I speak Russian and Ukranian languages frequently. In volume, sufficient for reading and correspondence, I know English.
In professional with presence of work experience I know programming languages Visual C ++ and Java. In sufficient volume I know Visual C# .NET, Visual Basic, Delphi, VBScript, JavaScript, HTML, PHP, MySQL, MSI Setup under InstallShield, Ant, Assembler, C/C ++, Pascal. I have work experience in large projects, COM development on VC ++, document workflow web-systems on Java.
Hobbies
Half a year ago my main hobby was computer games to which I have devoted the lion's share of my time for many years. But recently everything has sharply changed and I have not settled my new hobbies yet, because of lack of free time. I go in for sports actively. I like being in the best form. I often go to the sports club, I like jogging and working out on gym apparatus. My favorite kinds of sport are basketball and tennis.
Biography
I was born on February, 21st, 1986 in Donetsk. My father - Taran Valentine Vasilevich is an economist, finished Donetsk institute of the Soviet trade (now Donetsk trade university), my mother - Taran Svetlana Petrovna is an electrical engineer, in due time has finished DPI (now DonNTU) too, faculty of Automatics and telemechanics (AT, now - KITA).
Ñhildhood
From the early childhood kindergarten is the most memorable. Pleasant and warm memories belong to those years, when I was among good tutors and children.
Both during childhood and school days - I has been a very active child. I never could to sit without proceeding, cannot long time watch TV or read books. Walked in the street much, has "erased" not one ten footballs and from a half-dozen basketball. Both during childhood and school days - I was a very active child. I could not sit doing nothing, could not watch TV for a long time or read books. I spent a lot of time outdoors, frayed many footballs and basketballs.
School
I wanted to go to school when I was five years. As for me, even then I was bored in the kindergarten and I wanted to develop, to outgo my peers. But my parents judged correctly that in five years it is early to go to school, and sent me there when I was six years old. Thus I became a year younger than my schoolmates. But it was no problem for me because I had rather good intellectual skills. And I never felt myself younger in my friends’ company, even older some time.
I was lucky with a school. Right under the windows of my house a school with a good reputation -liceum ¹ 12- was situated. It was the first school with teaching in Ukrainian in Donetsk because of this I know the Ukrainian language well. I went to the “A” class where the best pupils were selected. The class had a mathematical bias, but still my first teacher reduced my marks for a long time, because I solved tasks in mind, skipping the decision, wrote only the answer because I considered, that they was too simple to write them. The mathematical bias, intelligence and a little laziness are probably the first steps to become a programmer.
I studied always well but the best marks were not my purpose, my aim was knowledge. Therefore I finished school without a medal, but with the best marks mainly. I often took part in competitions in mathematics and computer science and spent my free time cheerfully in the company of friends.
In school days I had time to visit a chess section (even took part in regional tournaments), and kickboxing section (though there I prefered single trainings to man-to-man fight), and mathematical elective course in decision of non-standard tasks.
In the beginning of the eleventh class under the influence of relatives I decided to go to the Donetsk institute of Interior (DII) on a speciality "antihacker". I visited courses in law and history. Also I started visiting a sports-club to pass my tests in physical training. Preparation passed successfully, but by the spring it turned out, I couldn’t enter the DII that year because of formal reasons with my age (I was a year younger). That’s why it was necessary to choose a new place for the future study – I chose DonNTU, the speciality – Software engineering. So I began fast preparation for entering passing an interview as I already have missed ratings. Because of having no time for preparation I passed interview only for a full charge studying. I didn't risk taking exams, because they could cancel the results of interview. So I entered DonNTU, the speciality formally called The program software of the automated systems (PS).
I finished school smoothly, without any incidents. I remember the last school bell and a school-leaving party. They were the most remarkable holidays during all time spent at school!
University
So, in 2002 I entered DonNTU, the speciality PS. The first semester at university passed not so good - after enough easy studying at school I thought it would continue at university. Difficult test-period, sleepless nights of fast preparation for examinations and even re-examination became the result of it. But next time I always tried to do everything in advance and pass exams by automats. And I have succeeded in this since the second year. During this time I had to pass only a few exams, getting automats at all others and by that I had additional 2-3 weeks vacation every term.
Among teachers I remember Skvortsov Anatoly Efremovich and his lectures and examinations of higher mathematics. Lectures were full of sense, and examinations were very exacting. Students told that to know math on the mark “3” with Skvortsov is more, than to know it on “5” with somebody else. Also I have to mention Gubarev Andrey Anatolievich, who conducted us math studies. I was affected by his manner of conversation and behavior - simplicity and modesty covered the most extensive knowledge, erudition and intelligence. Datsun Natalia Nikolaevna - she conducted our first lectures on programming (it was C++ language) and gave us first valuable advices and recommendations of professional programming style. Ladyzhenskiy Juriy Valentinovich - strict, but a fair teacher. The material of his lectures were always precisely formulated and practically useful. He is one of few teachers, who has absolute attendance and silence even at back desks on the lectures. Fedyaev Oleg Ivanovich – his ability of speaking infinitely and skill to say the same phrase in ten different ways without using identical words in some minutes amazed most of all. For sure he has deep knowledge and erudition. Being the deputy of dean, he is always kind to students, always tries to help debtors and trusts, that they can be good students too.
On the third year, under the pressure of necessity to find a place for summer working practice, I began working Visual C ++ programmer in MAUS Software company, or more exactly in Donetsk branch of this large German firm, and I work there now. I think I was lucky to get this job, because at that moment my professional skills were weak. Working there, I solved this problem quickly. Even now the work in MAUS Software gives me more knowledge and skills then university. I took part in large projects, got experience of working in team, have felt what the project plan is and what a project deadline means. Besides earn a good for a student salary. Less than in a year I was transferred to a project of writing installations for large soft products on InstallShield. After finishing this project I became a Java-programmer and I’m still programming using this language. But it was often necessary to use a lot of other programming languages and technologies so in this firm I have received many-sided work preparation and the knowledge base, which, I think, will help me in the further.
Nearest Future Plans
The most actual purposes for me now are successful passing the last test-period and writing the master's work. Also I am engaged in improving a professional qualification in Visual C# .NET and Java. In summer and autumn I’m planning to study economic disciplines and pass driving test if I have enough time.
Distant plans
Economics and programming are the most interesting work branches for me. So I shall try to unite them in my career. I shall probably open the firm of software development. Maybe (it’s desirable most of all) I shall leave abroad - to Europe or even to Japan, or may be to Australia. But life is difficult to be predicted and a plan which cannot be changed is a bad plan, therefore I prefer to have some options to choose from and I prefer to choose from them on circumstances.
