I was born on March 10, 1976 in the town of Dimitrov, Donetsk region.
Parents: father – Tarasenko Petr Andreevich, mother – Leshchinskaya Nataliya Nickolayevna.
I spent my childhood in a small miners’ town, and I have the best possible recollections about it. I learnt to read very early, and felt bored and uninterested in the kindergarten, that is why my parents yielded to my insistent requests, so I went to the first form in the age of 6 appearing to be the youngest pupil of the school.
At school I studied well and easily, and developed versatilely liking Biology and Mathematics, Chemistry and History, Physics and Literature. Frankly speaking, I tried to study all school subjects, though not during my school lessons, but on my own, doing my best to read all textbooks before the beginning of a school year, during the summer vocations. I read many additional books, and regularly won prizes at the local Olympiad competitions. Besides, I attended the musical school and studied playing violin. Later on I took a great interest in modern music, and a guitar became my favorite musical instrument. My school years were the time of search, everything was interesting, and it was hard to choose and to concentrate on something definite. As the result, in the end of the 11th form (in fact, we studied at school for 10 years, but “jumped over” one grade, I don’t even remember, which one) I decided to enter a medical college. During those “remote” years we knew about computers only by hearsay...
So for 2 years I studied in the Cherkassy medical college, then moved to Donetsk and studied here for two more years till my graduation. But when I began to work as a professional of my new specialty, I faced the fact that theory differed greatly from practice. After two years of work I left medicine. Nevertheless, the gained knowledge was very helpful for me in my life. In 1999 – 2000 an important event happened in my life: my best friend bought a computer. And she allowed me using it. She even taught me basic skills. I mastered a user level very quickly and decided not to stop on the achieved one. I fell in love with this “miracle of technique” and understood that it is “mine”! Comprehension came to me that this love was for the entire life! And I decided to enter the Donetsk National Technical University.
I passed my entrance examinations astonishingly easily. To my great pity I had to enter the correspondence department, as I could not give up my work because I was married at the time, I had a family and needed to earn money. But still I became a student of the first course of the correspondence department my specialty being “Automatic systems’ software”.
After getting my bachelor certificate I decided to proceed with my studies for getting a Master’s Degree. During my studies I was greatly interested in the problem of artificial intelligence. My supervisor Shelepov Vladislav Yurievich suggested me the theme of my diploma paper “Investigation of algorithms of by-phoneme recognition of Russian speech”. It appears to be an important, perspective, and very interesting trend.
My plans for future are as follows: to begin with, I plan to defend my Master’s paper; then I would like to find an interesting, perspective and well-paid job giving me the opportunity for self-realization, moral satisfaction and prospects for professional growth.
