THE ABSTRACT
Increase of continuous casting steel seriality and maintenance of its protection against
secondary oxidation on modern Slab Continuous casting blanks Machine are the main conditions of technical and
economic efficiency increase of qualitative continuous casting blanks production. Thus special requirements
are fire-resistant immersion sleeves used as protective elements, preventing contact of expiring jet of steel
surface with surrounding atmosphere, at a stage of ladle-crystallizer of the machine of continuous casting of blanks machine.
Therefore a lot of attention is given to measures improving the stability of applied protective sleeves and reduction of duration
of technological operations performance connected
with their replacement during continuous casting by long series. For fast immersion sleeve replacement various systems of manipulators
are used; designs should satisfy a lot of the requirements caused by conditions of their operation. The main thing is its compactness
and high accuracy of working body positioning.
The purpose`s:
Examining work of the manipulator for fast change of an immersion sleeve which protects steel from secondary oxidation at
casting steel on Slab Continuous casting blanks Machine.
Problems:
Parameters of improvement and a development of new
designs of the manipulator for installation and operation maintenance of the devaice.
UScientific novelty
With the purpose of maintenance and simplification of the device operation, allowing to carry out fast replacement
of a protective fire-resistant sleeves in conditions steel casting on Slab Continuous casting blanks Machine, employees and students
of faculty «Mechanical equipment of factories of ferrous metallurgy» Donetsk national technical university have developed and patented a
design of the manipulator.
The offered manipulator is established sideways of the oxygen converter on a working platform from release of steel. Owing to the kinematic
scheme, the manipulator in its initial (non-working) position does not interfere into work of the auxiliary mechanisms used for an operation
on repairs and breaks-down of the worn converter lining, trajectory of the cutting off element movement. It also provides the cutting off
element implementation into a converter cavity strictly on an axis of a mouth. In a design of the manipulator the change opportunity of a emergence of
a hollow rod that facilitates preliminary adjustment of the mechanism with a purpose of overlapping with a longitudinal axis of the final channel of the
converter is stipulated. Management of work of the manipulatoris controlled from the stationary or portable board. The developed manipulator has one pneumocylinder, that in difference from similar designs makes more economic and practical.
In a basis of my magister`s digree research the of the offered design manipulator, with the advanced parameters and new
constructive development of installation and operation is necessary. For this purpose the set of manipulators of various manufacturers and designs
has a been investigated.
