Today the best method of founding steel is continuous casting. This method is better than other in many perspective. First of all economy — continuous casting is cheep. Continuous casting steel have good physical property.
Continuous Casting is the process whereby molten steel is solidified into a «semifinished» billet, bloom, or slab for subsequent rolling in the finishing mills. Prior to the introduction of Continuous Casting in the 1950s, steel was poured into stationary molds to form «ingots». Since then, «continuous casting» has evolved to achieve improved yield, quality, productivity and cost efficiency.
Today more and more metallurgical works open up continuous casting. Most of them use electrical motor for drive of crystallizer. Electrical drive makes sinusoidal movement. It’s not so good. Utilization of hydraulic system for drive of crystallizer is preferred than using of electrical drive, because hydraulic drive can provide any law of transference. It renders a good effect on the surface of metal. Preferences of hydraulic drive are evident.
Theme of work is very important. Completely ready master’s degree work contains mathematic model of hydraulic drive system. This model allows to create and explore anyone law of movement of crystallizer.
Aims and tasks of research.
Main object of the work is investigation of physical process in hydraulic drive and therefore tuning of automatic control system.
The following tasks are decided for achievement of the aim:
To consider the theoretical questions of hydraulic drive and continuous casting.
To make a mathematic model of hydraulic drive by Matlab.
Choice of regulator type. Analysis of version.
To create hydraulic drive control system.
To modeling process in crystallizer drive. Building of diagram.
Tuning of hydraulic drive control system accordingly engineering process requirement.
