The purpose of the work – is Geomechanic of schemes of developing the seam k8 of the mine "Oktyabrsky rudnik".
The projects of further development of mine workings at "Oktyabrsky rudnik", developed by the institute "Dongyproshaht" in 1996 presupposes opening and preparation of the central panel of the seam k8 with the beginning of usage in 2005 - 2008.
In the process of building and usages of the mine, production and preparatory works have defined sharp worsening which was caused by substantial areas of quite unstable rocks of the seam m3. This influenced greatly the amount of work in production faces.
Taking into account mining and geological conditions of the seams m3 in the sloping part of the mine field, and, thus, the impossibility of high amounts of work in production faces of the seams m3, it is necessary to increase the number of walls to ensure the project capacity of the mine.
To locate in the developed seams m3 and l8 more than 2-3 faces are impossible because of mine workings planning and their low production capacity. The increase of the faces number can be done only at the expense of putting into operation the seams k8.
Development of the mine field can be carried out depending on mining and geological conditions of beds attitude and mining and technical conditions of its development by different methods. Expediency of this or that using that method of opening is conditioned not only by technical conditions; but also by economic comparison of two variants, which correspond the given conditions.
This method of calculation of the seam development type is called the method of variants. Its main point is the following.
For a particular deposit several appropriate schemes of the seam opening are developed. Than the capital and operating costs of each variant are determined for the whole service term or if deposit is quite big for the terms of its parts. The most efficient variant is that, which total sum of expenses per 1 ton of recoverable reserves is the minimal.
The variety of mining-geological and mining-technical conditions presuppose the impossibility to ensure the efficient work of a production faces with hard-to-cave roof while accomplishing one particular method of the roof control.
The choice of the particular method of hard-to-cave roof control or a complex of the most efficient methods is a difficult technical and economical problem.
The condition for the correct choice is the maximum possible efficiency of the production face work with maximum labor safety under the conditions of primary and secondary shinking of the main hard-to-cave roof.
