The most of problems of mountain production, such as stability of mountain developments, and also process of mining operations, are directly connected with destruction of rocks.

Deformation and destruction of rocks, unlike other firm bodies, have the specific features connected, first of all, with deficiency, heterogeneity of environment and processes in the file of rocks.

Recently in practice of the decision of problems of forecasting and management of the file of rocks condition there are essential changes concerning use of physicomechanical characteristics of rocks. If earlier as the basic indicators time support compression and stretchings, and then passport durabilities now has received development a direction of use of the physicomechanical characteristics received in the conditions of the maximum approach to the real were applied.

Despite great volume of experimental and theoretical researches, because of complexity of experimental maintenance, statement and realisation of problems, laws of deformation and destruction of rocks in a volume field of compressing pressure basically remain not studied.

The work purpose

The work purpose is an establishment of character of distribution of subsidence and deformations of a terrestrial surface, and also the further development of scientific bases of deformation and destruction of rocks at volume compression for working out and improvement of ways of forecasting and management of hills condition.

Research problems

For object in view achievement following research problems are defined:

to analyse modern position of researches concerning deformation and destruction of rocks in the conditions of volume loading;

to define a parity between strained and deformed by conditions, their influence on the mechanism and character of destruction of rocks;

to investigate behaviour of rocks at non-uniform volume loading;

to develop the recommendation about use of the received scientific results for their practical application.

The idea of work

The idea of work consists in the account of a volume intense condition and defectiveness of structure at an establishment of laws of deformation and destruction of rocks in the conditions of volume compression.

Object of research

Object of research of work is the terrestrial surface in a zone of influence of underground mountain workings out, processes of deformation and destruction of rocks.

Research methods

Object of research are subsidences and deformations of a terrestrial surface, and also law of change of physicomechanical properties at their deformation and destruction.
