I,Marasina Olena, was born on the 2nd of February 1987 in Khartsyzk. My mother is a building engineer. My father is a mining technician. We changed the place of residence for several times. Kindergartens were changing either, but my educators always regarded me was favour. According to the grown – ups I was quite independent and never let anybody offend me. I liked to hit back and my parents were usually upbraided for it. Amateurish, usually funny photos help me to remember my pre- school years, my light – hearted childhood.
My mother has always been an example to follow for me. Very clever, kind and calm she inculcated me love for reading. She always could answer my questions and explain an important role of education in a human’s life. So, having entered the school, I already knew I had to study well. Science came easy to me: English, Mathematics, Physics, Russian Literature. I could not clarify myself for long what I like most: the Humanities or Exact science. School years were passing by, Mathematics turned into a hobby. Formulas and theorems occupied a substantial part of my memory for some period of time. As a result I entered an electrotechnical faculty of DonNTU. And English remained only a hobby to communicate with the foreign friends.
I would like to tender great thanks to teachers: mathematician - Kochubey Ljudmila Konstantinovna and to my English teacher - Chernoshtan Olga Nikolaevna. They were those who helped me to like and to understand sciences so useful and important for me and my future..
The one who doesn’t remember a horrible first semester of the first year must be an alien. Setting up acquaintances with new people, creation a collective, endless summaries, diagrams, laboratory works, modules were mixed up and might be solved at best only by the time of receiving a diploma(at worst by the pension). It is impossible to learn everything. Someone clever said: “The more you learn the less you know”. But it is a technical university. Our instructors deservingly tried to teach us to think clearly, to filter information and to choose the most important one. We were presented the model of a technical education. Soon there will be a defence of a Master’s work, and the duty of a good student is to present everything we were taught for five years. I would like to submit this model of a technical education when come to work: it will be our turn to show what we are worth.
Like many people of my age I am very ambitious and have far – reaching plans for the future. I have high hopes for my education. I really want to put my knowledge into practice in a concrete direction in order to become a first class specialist in my sphere. While studying in the university I gained the skills of translating French texts with an electronical bias. I really want it to be useful in the future. I guess it is important for job to give pleasure. I am looking forward to checking if it is true!
I would like to keep up a connection with the university, because I met so many clever, educated and good people. They all served their purpose in creating my personality. I am very much obliged to my teachers!
