Biography
About myself
I’d like to start by saying that my academic average is 4.75, i.e. the one to get the Bachelor’s honours degree.
Nowadays I’ve studied the following programming languages: C++, Pascal, Perl, PHP, Lisp, Prolog, Assembler, JavaScript, C#, ASP.NET, WinAPI, and the language of hyper text HTML.I also have an experience of work in such program environments as: Borland Delphi 7, Visual Studio, Borland C++ Builder.
Apart from this, I speak fluent Russian, Ukrainian and English.
Childhood
I was born on August 15, 1987 in Donetsk. My parents are: Dubrovin Vadim Evgenievich and Dubrovina Evgenia Tevelivna. Besides, I have a one-and-a half-year younger brother Sergey.
When a child, I went to the kindergarten and longed for going to school, and later to the University.
School
In 1994 I became a pupil of the Specialized School ¹ 115 with profound study of foreign languages.
During the first year of study I was supposed to acquire speaking skills only, whereas reading and writing ones I’ve got on the second year. I’d like to stress, that a great variety of tasks aimed at learning new words resulted in my tenacious memory.
I haven’t had much yearning for study during the first three years, but in the 5th form I realized my bent for exact sciences. At the age of 13 for two years I visited special courses in the Open Mathematical College on the basis of Donetsk National University. There we did different tasks under the direction of the DonNU professor Dveirin Mihail Zaharovich. Usually some of his students helped him to lead the lessons. The course included not only lectures, but also competition dealing different tasks to do by several teams. Alongside this, we were to do our home works and to take tests. It was there, where I’ve got basic knowledge in combinatorial analysis, analytical geometry and the like.
In 2001 I took part in the international mathematical contest “Kangaroo”, which was organized in my city. I took one of the prize-winning places.
In the 11th form I have attended the courses on mathematics and computer science on the basis of Donetsk National Technical University, which one of the faculties of Computer science I was going to enter. By that time I’ve got good knowledge in Math, but still not sufficient to enter the university; my knowledge in computer programming was a great deal shaky in addition to the fact that I had no PC at my disposal. While visiting computer science courses I was quick at working with block schemes and at writing programs in Pascal, despite that I had to write them in my exercise book but not in the programming environment on computer.
Further on, I took the University rating tests and right away I’ve received enough points (the 7th position in the list of students) to become a free-of-charge student of the desired faculty, which set my future plans up as a Software Engineering student in Donetsk National Technical University.
University
In 2004 I entered the 4th building of Donetsk National Technical University for the first time. Everything seemed to be new and unusual for me. I wandered about the lecture rooms, being completely at a loss as well as often late to some of my classes, especially when I had to orientate in the 3rd building.
I was enlisted to the group PS-08V. The studying was interesting; I have learnt a lot of new things. From year to year I seemed to know more and more.
I enjoyed being a student and still do. On the one hand it gives you much more freedom, but it takes much more responsibility on the other, for it’s only you, who is in charge of yourself now.
After passing the state exam I have got Bachelor’s honours degree and entered MA courses in Software engineering.
The professor in technical sciences Bashkov Evgeniy Aleksandrovich became the supervisor of my science work. He proposed me to choose the theme “Researching the algorithms of the fast Fourier transformation of decimal signals for parallel computing systems” for my Master’s work. Later I understood how interesting and perspective this topic was. It is amazing to work with Evgeniy Aleksandrovich, for he puts the goals and the problems for working in a sharp and clearly-cut way.
My plans for the future
In the near future I see myself as an experienced programmer and a valuable employee, though I haven’t yet defined the area of programming I am going to work in. The reason for that is my many-sided knowledge and versatile talent.
In ten years I plan to create my own company, working on developing, selling and escorting the software.
