The average mark in the period of studying at university is 4.58. Russian and Ukrainian languages are native. I know English at the level sufficient for reading and correspondence. I have an operational experience with computer applications: MS Office, MathCAD, Matlab, AutoCAD, MS Visio, Compas, as well as programming in C/C++ and MathCAD. My hobbies are sport (football), and high technologies (Hi-Tech).
I was born on September 20th, 1988 in Donetsk. Father, Yakov Baydak, who was born in 1959, had worked in the police and now - retired. Mother, Larissa Baydak, was born in 1962, works in "Vesservis", where she holds the post of merchandiser.
In three years I went to kindergarten "Zayka". It was a very significant moment when I said to teachers at the first day that my name is Aleksey Yakovlevich. Gradually I learned to read, write and count. But love to reading was not too big and therefore almost all the time had been spent in the yard, playing football with boys.
September 1th, 1995 I went to the 1-G grade of the secondary school ¹ 8. I liked studying from the beginning which was confirmed by the charter of the 1-3 grades of studying. Even then, the math carried me away very much and did not take a lot of time. A wonderful teacher Tatyana Zahoryash teached us math and geography of the native land in 5-6 grades, which determined the interest to these subjects. In the 5th grade I was visiting the firing practice section, where I trained patience, endurance and perseverance. But I didn’t manage to get the first youthful grade. Special thanks to school teachers: Nikolay Poltorakov (history), Irene Semenova (geography).
In the 8th grade my friend suggested me that in our city there is an educational institution Donetsk College (now Donetsk Lyceum "College"), which takes students on a competitive basis for 9-11 grades. We went to preparatory courses (mathematics and the Ukrainian language) without hesitation, where it became clear that the regular school curriculum is not enough for entrance. We attended classes on Fridays and Saturdays. I was not very sorry about spent weekends, because I wanted to pass exams. By the end of the 8th grade the rating was carried and we have successfully failed it, but on the tests we managed to get a good mark, which allowed us to continue studying at Donetsk college. We were entred to a D form, with the main discipline - jurisprudence. After school it was very hard to get used to the new requirements and new system of education (lessons were conducted in pairs, each semester there was the session, students had student's record-books). The form was divided into two groups of 12-14 people and we were taught was by the best teachers of the city, which greatly increased the quality of education. Education was very interesting and informative. During these 3 years our supervisor was Irene Serdyuk, who always took care and guided us.
I want to thank the teachers who gave not only a profound knowledge in subjects, but also had influenced the formation of me as a person, namely: Svetlana Siroizhko (Russian Language and Literature), Lydia Zabiyako (Basic Informatics), Vladimir Pola (Algebra and Geometry), Elvira Polohova (Physics), Svetlana Lysenko (Basic Jurisprudence and Civics), Raissa Strel'tsova (Economic Geography).
Along with studying at the 11th grade, I attended the courses of driving, which successfully ended in the same academic year. In 2006 I have got the driver license of category B.
At the beginning of the 11th grade it was necessary to determine the future place of studying. The choice of the university was fairly rapid, because the prestige and educational level of Donetsk National Technical University speaks for itself, it only remained to decide with the faculty and the specialty. The Electrical Engineering faculty and a specialty "Electrical systems and networks" seemed the most attractive on the basis of personal preference and character. In the late autumn I’ve already went to the preparatory courses in math. I participated in all the ratings for entering and for a better result out of 3 (49 points out of 60) I was offered a target contract, on which I had agreed.
Student life began quite explosively and interesting. In the beginning it was not easy to adapt to the variety of subjects and a new life, but having made an effort I managed to earn a scholarship, in the first and in subsequent semesters of bachelor's degree. I had passed the state exam at 4, which had not stop me continue studying for a master’s degree.
During studying the following disciplines brought the greatest benefit: theoretical foundations of electrical engineering, electrical systems and network, planning of electrical systems, electrical machines and basic elements of automatics.
It is necessary to note the work of the following teachers: Ivan Zabolotnyi, Helen Dmitrieva, Arkadyi Larin, Evgeny Alekseev, Boris Ivanov, Vitaliy Dennik, Dmitry Polkovnichenko, Sergey Grishanov, Artem Melnik. These teachers have played a major part in the formation of my knowledge.
Motivation of getting the master’s degree was a desire to continue studies at university and do not stop halfway. My supervisor is Ivan Zabolotnyj, with whom the theme of master's work was defined from the perspective of further development of electrical networks. The subject is formulated as follows: "Research methods for power flow control between networks of different nominal voltages of the electrical system".
Previous experience with Internet technologies is using the Internet on user level.
I wouldn’t like to divulge plans for the future, but the priority is the successful defense of the master’s work.
Also the priority purpose is the search of perspective and interesting job which would bring not only financial, but also moral satisfaction.
After delivery of the master’s work I will not say "goodbye" to DonNTU, because I am planning to receive the second higher education on economic speciality.
