The goal of the project is to improve the calculation method for a hydraulic hammer for borehole drilling, its operation regularity specification, the design of its practical structure and application technology.
The research object is a hydraulic hammer mechanism for technical and decontamination borehole drilling. The research subject is the operation process in a hydraulic hammer mechanism for technical and decontamination borehole drilling.

Technical and decontamination borehole drilling in Donbass region is carried out mostly with geological prospecting drilling plants or with the plants for water drilling. The construction peculiarities and driving power of this equipment disables the rational load of a bit by big diameters borehole drilling. That causes the decrease of the effectiveness of drilling process and its technical and economical rates. Besides, the considerable expenditures for the rock-destroying equipment by drilling with roller cone bits (especially by rock drilling) also negatively effect drilling costs.
Thus, the design of a hydraulic hammer mechanism, applicable both for intensification of the drilling with roller cone bits and for hard-rotary drilling with chisel bits, is quite topical for technical and decontamination borehole drilling in Donbass region. In the first case it increases technical and economical rates of the drilling process, and in the second case it lowers the costs by applying the cheaper tools. That's why it may be claimed, that the structure improvement of a hydraulic hammer for borehole drilling is quite topical. Estimated novelty of the research results includes the application of a hydraulic hammer mechanism for the intensification of the drilling with roller cone bits or its complete replacement with the hard-rotary drilling.

The application of the given hydraulic hammer allows decreasing the unproductive power expenditures for borehole washing by means of the liquid flowing to a bottomhoie simultaneously with the hydraulic hammer disconnecting.
