An average point at the university was 4.37. I speak Russian and Ukrainian fluently, read and write in English. I can work with such computer programmes as MS Word, MS Excel, Auto CAD. I’m fond of music and different kinds of sports. During my studies I had practice at some Ukrainian mines where I got some working experience.
I, Kornienko Dennis Yurievich, was born on 23 November 1987 in a small town miners, Krasnoarmeisk. My father, Kornienko Yuriy Vladimirovich, born on 17 April 1959 worked at Krasnolimanskaya mine, now he is retired. My mother, Kornienko Valentina Petrovna, born on 31 July 1960, works as a librarian in Krasnoarmeisk pedagogical school. My elder brother, Kornienko Maxim Yurievich, born on 7 July 1983, works in Krasnoarmeiskaya-Zapadnaya ¹1 mine as an economist.
When I was three years old, my parents took me to the Kindergarten. There my early memories began. I was an obedient, curious and responsible child. I was especially gifted in painting and mathematics.
On 1 September I entered the first form of Krasnoarmeisk secondary school ¹2. I took active part in the school life participating in a great number of competitions and contests. I was really good at playing basketball and running. I also graduated from a musical school. My school years passed fast. When I was in the 11th form I started thinking about higher education. I was completely sure what high educational establishment I should choose and I dwelt my choice on Donetsk National Technical University. Only one question was left: What specialty should I choose? I set my heart on the profession “The Development of the Layers of Natural Resources” with the specialization “Geomechanical processes of mining”, because mining is a leading industry of our region and it has a great demand of qualified personnel. So after graduating from the university I could be sure to find work connected with my specialty. Having passed my entrance exams successfully I entered the first year at the university.
In 2005 I became a student of The Department of Geotechnology and Manufacture Management in Donetsk National Technical University. I didn’t show any special interest in my studies during the first 2 years. But having started learning the subjects directly connected with my profession I began studying seriously. The student’s life – dormitory, lectures, exams, nights without sleep and merry companies will be remembered as the happiest years of my life. In 2009 having received my diploma of Bachelor, I decided to continue my education and entered in master’s degree. Now I’m doing my Master’s Thesis. My professor Y. A. Petrenko helps me with it. The basic aim of the thesis is “Ground of parameters of the time-sprayed-concrete lining”. During my studies I have made a great number of friends I want to thank all the teachers who helped me to become a specialist.
I’m going to get an excellent mark for my master’s thesis, to find a job with a good salary and to develop and improve my knowledge of mining industry. The next five years will be devoted to my career.
