There are considerable accumulations of zhelezosoderzhaschikh technogenic wastes On metallurgical enterprises: dross, different shlamy, slags et cetera and their amount increases in course of time. In the conditions of growings prices on the basic types of shikhtovykh materials, in-use in a steel-smelting production: scrap-metal, cast-iron, metallizovannoe raw material, the actual is become by the task of utilization of zhelezosoderzhaschikh wastes.
An actual task is development of electro-thermal process of renewal of zhelezosoderzhaschikh wastes with the use of low-grade coals or wastes of coke production. Developed and made laboratory setting a capacity 100 kg (picture).

Experimental fusion, during which over 110minut of 120 kg of raw material was obtained 42 kg of metal. Technological parameters of the experimental fusion were as follows: voltage 60-70V, current 500-700A, power consumption 1.5 kWh/ Kg, oxygen consumption and natural gas, respectively, 0.052 and 0.023 m3/kg product.
Testing has shown the fundamental performance technology. The yield was 54% for metal. Chromium in the metal, apparently, was electrochemically recovered from refractory materials.
Outlined an agenda for further research that would aim at achieving a stable process indicators, increasing the output of suitable and power optimization.
