He was born in February, 22, 1939 in Novopavlovka village Mezhevsky area of the Dnepropetrovsk region. Parents: father - Mysyk Demian Fyodorovitch, the worker; mother - Mysyk Praskovia Ivanovna, farm worker. He was studied in Novopavlovka's high school which he has finished in 1957 with a silver medal. In the same year he has entered in the Dnepropetrovsk chemical-technology institute (now Ukrainian state chemical-technology university) on speciality "Technology of the basic organic synthesis and synthetic rubber" which he has with distinction finished in 1962. During study Dmitry Demianovich was deeply engaged in research work therefore he has received the invitation in post-graduate study on a speciality "Organic chemistry" in 1962 which he has finished in 1966.

Since 1966 Mysyk D.D. worked in Donetsk polytechnical institute (now Donetsk national technical university, DonNTU). In 1967 he had PhD grade on a theme " Chlormethyling and formyling N-methylarene sylphonyl - areneamides". With 1978 on 1981 - he was manager of department "Analytical and Organic chemistry" Donetsk polytechnical institute. It is widely known among chemists of Ukraine, Russia, distant and near foreign countries. He was invited to publication in international edition "Who is who in Organic Chemistry".

His directions of researches are synthesis and research of complexes of electroneaceptors fluorene line and substances with intramolecular carry of a charge. Area of the use of the these substrates is wide enough, among them are: holographic materials, organic semiconductors, electrophotographic materials. Besides Mysyk D.D. scientific interests possible to name also synthesis of physiological - active substances based on carbazole, fluorene, sulfoacids anilides. He is the author more than 120 publications, 29 copyright certificates.

During all work Dmitry Demianovich supervised research work of students, whose works received awards at various competitions of student's works. Perepichka I.F.'s work has received the diploma to III degrees at All-Union competition of student's research works. Nowadays Perepichka I.F. PhD, the scientific employee of Institute Physical, Organic and Coal Chemistry National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Dmitry Demianovich Mysyk is married, has two sons, one of them - Roman Dmitrievich Mysyk has gone in the steps the father. He became the chemist.

Direction of modern researches - development of components of materials for record optical information in seen and near IR areas of a spectrum. Now his research work is closely cooperated with department "Common Chemistry" DonNTU, with group of the senior scientific employee, PhD, the senior lecturer Rubleva L.I. in the field of creation of the theory positive steric effect at sulphonyl sulfur. Also he lead the preparation of masters on the field, students research work. By results of this work the articles and reports at the International conferences are made.
