Introduction

Problems of image processing, decodings, analysis and recognition are one of the basic problems solved in various areas scientific and applied researches, and also at engineering diagnostics systems, testing and management in the industry. These problems decision automation is one of the primary goals.

Problem relevance

There are some promblems appear when developing and researching automated complexes. There are tasks that connected with visual information processing in real time. Similar problems appeare in control automation, industrial-scale plant management, information systems of mobile robots. Hardware and software depends on machine vision systems functioning. Vision system workstations, specialized computers and visual processors are used with real time operational systems (OS). High cost vision system that use the similar hardware maintenance does not allow to use them in small applied and research complexes.

In the given work the tire covers accounting system will be developed. It will use standard program and hardware means.

Purposes and tasks of work

The purpose of master's work is machine vision system design. It will be used for tire covers type definition by color marks.

During the work it is necessary to solve following problems:

  1. To accomplish image recognition methods review;
  2. To analyse existing image processing and recognition algorithms and choose optimal method of solution for the given problem;
  3. To develop color marks of raw autotire covers recognition system.

Practical value of the received results

Results of researches will allow to create raw autotire covers accounting and recognition system. It will allow to carry out raw autotire covers accounting  in an automatic mode which are passing on a transport line.

Review of existing researches and development

There are huge number of works about problems of image processing. The most known works in this area are: U.Prett « Digital image processing», Sojfer V.A. « Computer image processing». There is an opportunity of image processing in package MatLab.

There are various scientific and applied computer programs, and also industrial software packages which solve these tasks. It is impossible to describe all of them. Therefore here we can note only, that they often have highly specialized purpose and cannot be used for solution of broad range of problems. Besides that many of them are only semi-automatic and operator should carry out many actions. It does not allow to use them in automatic systems of diagnostics and management. It is possible to note, that there are many scientific and applied problems related to problems of image automatic analysis which are not still solved in full measure.

Tire covers accounting system description

The program part of tire covers accounting system consists of three modules. Database server allows to store all received information about tire covers. Raw tire covers recognition service receives information from videocameras and transfers it to database server. Client program allows operator to supervise account process, to look at passed tire covers database and to generate reports. Full scheme of raw tire covers accounting system is presented in figure 1.
