    Actuality

At the current moment more and more often we face the question – What happens if all explored treasures of the soil will be over while the rest is unexplored? Exploration of treasures of the soil is the high importance for scientific problem and practical object for geological exploration. Our region is famous all over the world for its carbon deposits. In case if due attention will be paid to this problem and due financing will be given, our country for a long time will be provided with its own coal and in addition to this new workplaces for citizens will be created. But exploration and mining of coal are related not only to conditions of work, but to aspects of environment protection. Strengthening of environment protection requirements gives grounding for expanding work on analysis of toxic and potentially toxic elements of coal, components of gob, products of coal mining and coal processing, dangerous in aspects of pollution of environment and damage of ecological balance.

Main elements, which during mass burning of coal pollute environment are – S, Be, As, F, Ge, for which known high contents of compounds in air and water which exceed maximum acceptable norms. Except this there is danger of local pollution of environment with Pb, Ni, Mn, Cr, V, Co, Ge. Compounds of these elements are related to potential-toxic. In the territory of Donetsk-Makeyevka geology and industrial region during exploration it was discovered that contents of toxic elements exceeds maximum acceptable norms (somewhere several times more).

By example of “Rossiya” coal mine we can see the distribution of toxic elements in coal. For this purpose we can use information obtained during drilling of wells of detailed exploration.

Actuality of this theme grounds on aspects of environment protection by implementing of scientific proven methods of forecast for toxic elements distribution in coal, mining mass and on-time reduction of contents of these elements in products.

    Motivation

Research of distribution of toxic elements is a low explored theme. Works on it started very recently. In my area of work regarding this aspect nothing was done at all. But in our time safety of work condition becomes more and more important issue. This is why contents of toxic elements in coal needs to be explored.

    Aim and tasks of work

Aim of work is development of forecast methods and modeling of distribution of contents of toxic elements in coal, definition of danger level of work at the work area (work environment) and date processing by statistic software “Statgraf”

Main tasks of work are – statistical analysis of distribution of contents of toxic elements in coal and definition of their relation to geology.

    Practical value of this work

-Definition of rule of distribution of contents of toxic elements in coal by using statistic software “Statgraf”

-Defenition of geology of deposit influence on distribution of contents of toxic elements in coal bank

-Concentration of industrial resources of coal and improvement of its mining conditions.

    Review of key results

During work on my Master’s Thesis following main scientific and practical results were obtained:

    1. In the area of coal mine were defined similar features of toxic elements and organic part of coal, defined rules of change of toxic elements contents in dependence from of coal bank power. Also classification of containing minerals was done.

    2. It was developed methods of forecasting of toxic elements contents in products of concentration considering genetic connections of these elements with organic and mineral parts of coal.

    3. It was offered to use in cases of exceeding of maximum accepted norms by toxic elements contents method for control with calculation of pollution norms.

Following methods of modeling of toxic elements contents:
    a) in mining mass with limit of mass value, which is mined considering transport and technology restrictions in mode of averaging-out
    b) in products of concentration with restriction of values of mining mass of coal mines which ship products to concentration plants

    5. Defined character of influence on human health status and pollution of environment exceeding contents of toxic elements in coal.

    6. Analyzed data obtained from analysis of distribution of toxic elements in coal and defined their connections with geology by using statistic software “Statgraf”

    Prospects of future research

Providing country with coal which is safe for environment and human health status. Mining of toxic elements (e.g. Ge) from coal layers with aim of its following use for good of mankind.

    Conclusion

The area of works is located in Donetsk-Mykolayiv industrial-geology region. This is reserve block of “Rosiya” coal mine. In the territory of the block during detailed exploration 21 wells were drilled. They were geochemically analyzed. Grounding on this information was done analysis of toxic element contents in coal. Experimental works showed satisfactory compliance of forecasted and real results: short term forecast – 10% error, middle term forecast – 30% error, forecast of toxic elements contents in products of concentration – 25%.
Grounding on this results it is recommended to use scientific and practical results during geological explorations and mining works at the “Rossiya” coal mine.
Work is dedicated to geochemical associations and rules of distribution of toxic elements, forecast of their contents in mining mass. Methods of forecast of distribution of toxic elements in products of concentration (theoretical balance) of coal considering genetic connections of these elements with organic and mineral parts of coal. Methods of modeling of contents will allow to predict fulfillment of technological measures for reducing of contents of these elements in mining mass an products of concentration of coal less than maximum accepted norms.
