Hi! I’m Korotkova Nataliya. I was born on March 31, 1983. My native town is Selidovo.

My family. Father, Korotkov Gennadiy. Was born in 1944 in Volnovaha town. When he was 4 years old, his family moved to Selidovo where he lives now. He graduated from Donetsk Polytechnic Institute as Engineer Mechanic. At the present moment he works at the Coal Mine “Rossiya” as Mechanic of Cargo Lifter. Mother, Korotkova Galyna, was born in Altukhovo town, Russia. She graduated from Donetsk State University as Financier. At the present moment she’s pensioner. Also I have 2 sisters (Anna and Tatiana) and Brother (Timur)

During my school studies I used to attend different hobby groups: dance group, journalist group and knitting group. Also I attended design studio “Style” and took part in fashion shows. I took part actively in social life of our school and wrote several articles in local newspaper “Nasha Zorya”. My favorite school subjects were literature, biology and mathematics. I took part in town school competitions dedicated to biology and mathematics. In addition, I attended free-style wrestling and table tennis hobby groups. In 1999 I won a 1st place in table tennis school competition among girls.

In 2000 I finished my school studies and entered DonNTU in 2001. My specialty is “Geological survey and exploration”. My choice wasn’t accidental. Dreams of travels around the world, desire to know how this world was created and love to the nature brought me to choice of Geologist specialty.

Since 01.09.2001 I study at DonNTU in group GR-01 of Mining and Geology Faculty. I’m group prefect since second semester of study.

In the period of 2003-2004 during summer vacation and practical training I worked as geologist at the “Rossiya” coal mine. I was very impressed with that what I saw there. Miner’s work is very hard. The material and knowledge I obtained there helped me pretty much during my further study and will be really useful in work on my master's thesis. There, once again, I convinced myself of love to university study and merry life of university campus.

In the period of time from 2004 till 2005 I had my second practical training I worked as Technician-Geologist in Geology Department of “Ukruglegeologiya” company.

No I’m a student of 5th year and work on my Master’s thesis. It sounds as “Distribution of toxic elements in coals by example of “Rossiya” coal mine”. My scientific superviser is Mr. Panov B.S., professor of Chair of “PI” and “EG”
