Theme of master's degree work: “Analysis and improvement of specific fuel consumptions calculation methods and development of methods for its decrease for the case of the ÁÊÇ-75-39ÔÁ boiler”.       

It is supposed to conduct the in-depth statistical analysis of specific consumptions of natural, coke and blast-furnace gases during 2004, 2005, 2006 and the first quarter of 2007 years by the example of the ÁÊÇ-75-39ÔÁ boiler set on ÒÝÖ-ÏÂÑ (central power station) of Donetsk Steel Works with the purpose of exposure of fuels heating values change regularities and determination of optimum characteristics of gases consumptions (blast-furnace, coke, natural) in thermal balance of boiler and most advantageous characteristics in a cost parameter plan. Computations of mixtures of gases (a dominating percent is blast-furnace gas) for finding of the best percentage correlation will be executed. The necessary practical metering directly on the ÁÊÇ-75-39ÔÁ boiler of ÒÝÖ-ÏÂÑ will be executed also.

A boiler workshop is the structural subdivision of ÒÝÖ-ÏÂÑ and carries out:

a)    exploitation of steam-boilers, producing the overheated steam of high parameters, consumed by condensation turbines and back pressure turbine of the machine workshop of ÒÝÖ-ÏÂÑ;

b)    exploitation of auxiliary equipment of boiler workshop;

c)    providing of factory consumers with the steam of necessary parameters;

g)    heat supply of factory and settlement.

Basic tasks and functions of boiler workshop are:

1.    Producing of the steam and providing of trouble-free supply of users by thermal energy.

2.    Lowering of auxiliary consumption of electricity and thermal energy.

3.    Lowering of prime cost of released to the users steam.

4.    Mechanization and automation of production processes, implantation of industrial engineering with the purpose of rise of overhaul period of equipment.

5.    Execution of production and economic plans.

A gaseous fuel (blast-furnace, natural, coke gas) and fuel oil are a fuel for the ÒÝÖ-ÏÂÑ boilers. Basic fuel of boilers are blast-furnace gas or mixture of natural, blast-furnace and coke gases in all proportions with compulsory highlighting by natural gas. All boilers can work as on the mixture of gaseous fuel so separately.

The quantity of burned blast-furnace gas on WEM-SBS are determined by the number of working blast-furnaces and consumption of gas on the auxiliary of furnace.

Calorific value of basic types of fuel:

•    the blast-furnace gas – Qwl = 3232 kJ/m3;

•    coke gas – Qwl = 16772 kJ/m3;

•    natural gas – Qwl = 33151 kJ/m3.
