Development of hardware and program decisions for granting IP-telephony service for a typical business firm

Introduction. Urgency substantiation

Corporate network - territorially distributed network which unite offices, divisions and other structures which situated in various cities, and sometimes countries. Often creating corporate telephone system telephone exchanges are required to be united in the general network. It’s important not only to provide usual establishment of connections between subscribers, but also give them access to additional services. IP-telephony use can be the fine decision of this problem. Thus, cost is the main advantage of an IP-telephony to the corporate user before traditional telephone communication systems. Here it is possible to allocate some positions:

  • Economy on long-distance and international telephone conversations
  • Fast recoupment of capital expenses.
  • Reduction of expenses for administration. There is no necessity to contain the separate personnel for administration of telephone and computer networks.

IP-telephony strength is a variety of services and possibility of integration of an IP-telephony with existing networks of telecommunication. Among new services, the appendices connected with integration of telephone services with existing information systems of the customer most claimed are: catalogues (Microsoft AD, LDAP), databases of clients. Various interactive appendices of VoIP-systems are interesting to corporate users, in particular, dispatches of reports of information, exchange rates, and quotations and so forth also

Problem statement

This work is directed on working out of a complex of decisions on the organization of an IP-telephone system for corporation, and also practical realization of the developed decisions on Open Company example “Донпромсервис - 97”. Open Company "Донпромсервис-97" is a classical example of corporate firm. The enterprise has own retail network (Donetsk, Makeyevka, Kramatorsk, Mariupol) and own network of representations (Makeyevka, Donetsk, Mariupol, Lugansk, Simferopol, Kharkov). Open Company "Донпромсервис-97" also possesses the big areas of warehouse and industrial premises. The staff totals 350 people
Thus, in master work following problems are put:

  • Analysis of existing decisions of granting of service of an IP-telephony
  • Working out of a technique of recalculation of telephone system indicators of quality to IP – telephony indicators of quality.
  • Designing and modeling of an IP-telephone system for Open Company "Донпромсервис-97".

 

Scientific novelty

Often, designers deal not with construction of new telecommunication system, but with modernizations of already existing network. The reason is a desire of the customer to lower an expense. Thus the customer is interested in that the existing communication quality not only remains at former level, but also has been improved. At present, there is no accurate system of statement of requirements to IP-telephone system on the basis of known requirements to traditional telecommunication. Thus, this work’s scientific novelty consists in working out of a technique of recalculation of indicators of quality of a traditional telephone system to indicators of quality of an IP-telephony that will allow putting accurate requirements to a projected network.

 

Planned practical result

Construction of an IP-telephone system for Open Company "Донпромсервис-97" enterprise will allow reducing essentially expenses for service of a telecommunication network and for long-distance telephone conversations at association of offices in different regions in a uniform corporate telephone system. Besides, presence of the additional services given by an IP-telephony, and possibility of integration of an IP-telephony with various appendices will allow optimizing working process. Use of a wireless IP-telephony will create more convenient and comfortable working conditions to separate employees of corporation. (Access points will be established in warehouses and the big industrial premises.) thus, practical result of master work - modernization of existing telecommunication network of Open Company "Донпромсервис-97" with use of standards of an IP-telephony and technology of wireless access Wi-Fi with the subsequent integration with PSTN.
