The short biography:

     Yekaterina Zaporozhchenko
Date of birth: September 1, 1987. (p.s.The first of September is the Knowledge Day).
     Place of birth: Donetsk, Ukraine.
Father, Igor Anatoliyevich Zaporozhchenko, graduated from Chemical Technology Department of Donetsk National Technical University.
Mother, Svetlana Analoliyevna Kotelnikova, born in 1965, graduated from Chemical Technology Department of Donetsk National Technical University. Principal engineer of Motor Roads & Environmental Protection Department. Record of service in OJSC «YUZHNIIGIPROGAZ» exceeds 20 years.

The childhood

I was brought up in supportive environment and love, had a fancy for drawing, dancing. My family did its best to direct huge child’s energy for the good. I was trained to deal with the mathematical informative games as early as in childhood. I still have a vivid recollection of the trips to the Crimea, Moscow, Saint Petersburg with my grandmother.

School years

My childhood dream was to go to school. When I was seven I was admitted to experimental class for gifted children (School #71 currently named Impulse Lycee, Donetsk). I found a pleasure in studies, my favorite subjects were math, physics, biology, Russian literature. I liked to find solutions to clear set problems.
Beginning from the first class I started taking an active part in creative activities. I always liked to be the focus of attention. I took everything most seriously and tried to attain the best results in everything. My class was a united family, so I could find a common language with everyone almost at once. During the whole period of studies I had excellent grades, I took prize-winning places in contests on math and biology, participated in the city competitions on track and field athletics, won the first place in the contest «MISS CHARM» (Kuibyshevsky district, 2003). Thus, this period of my life was the period of diversified development, exciting and eventual. On finishing school I was awarded the Gold Medal. An entry was written in the School’s History Book where I was named as one of the best pupils for the period of 1994-2004.
My credo is: «All in the life of a man should be beautiful: face, clothes, soul and thoughts». This quotation of A.P.Chekhov inspires me to pursue studies and self-development.

University

Graduation class became the turning point in my carefree school life. I had to choose the future profession, higher educational institution, chief subject and department. Since most of my numerous relatives (grandfather, grandmother, father, mother, uncle and others) had acquired higher technical education, of course, I decided to enter Donetsk National Technical University. I was lucky to be born in our time and in our country, rich in land resources. I chose the Land Management and Cadastre speciality at Mining and Geological Department, the promising and required profession in my country. I successfully passed rating exams and was admitted to the University. During the first year of my studies I was engaged into dynamic student life: I was elected the labor union organizer, took part in the freshers’ debut, acquired new friends and acquaintances. As the second-year student I fully realized what Geoinformation and Geodesy Department dealt with. Everything that seemed novel and not properly understood was of interest to me. I liked creative work because «We do not seek for the easy ways». It was not easy to adapt and start apprehending absolutely novel information, but it appeared possible. I passed examinations successfully, sometimes I was granted increased scholarship.
My research supervisor is an associate professor, candidate of engineering sciences Andolenko Svetlana Stepanovna. The theme of my master's degree work: «Investigation of the problems of contemporary issues to improve mapping of passenger transport in the organization of urban areas on the example of the Donetsk city».
In the fourth year of studies I took part in the conference devoted to Sience Day at Geoinformation and Geodesy Department (2008). In summer 2008 I acquired the Bachelor’s degree in Geodesy, Mapping and Land Management and entered MA course. On completion of the fourth year I underwent industrial practical training at Donetsk Regional Division of SGK Center at Goskomzem of Ukraine (Public Land Management Committee).

My plans

In the nearest future I am going to improve my English at Foreign Language Courses. In December I will defend graduation paper and do my best to receive an excellent grade. As to my professional activity, I would like to master new GIS-technologies. I plan to move to Kiev because in my opinion there are much more perspectives for making career.
Besides, I would like to acquire the second higher education in programming and develop general-purpose programs not only by speciality but specifying healthy diet for people.
