Aluminium, copper structures, bimetals, and also composite products find wide application in various industries.

The "know-how" of bimetals and composite materials is rather labour-consuming. There are vital issues at manufacturing special structures of small sections. On existing technologies (direct and return pressing) reception of some special structures is impossible or demands additional expenses for their metal working. The minimal thickness of a received wall of a structure from aluminium does not exceed 0.8-1 mm. The way continuous extrusion metal allows to receive structures with thickness of a wall less than 0.5 mm. The diversified sections, thus the length of products is not limited.

Use of thin-walled structures can raise essentially operational characteristics heat interchanger units, conditioners, optical paths and conductors of a current. Now intensive development of new areas of the industry, such as cryogenic technics , the furniture industry, etc., which necessary new complex structures and technologies for their manufacture is observed. So, for example, optico-fiber and coaxial êàáåëè use of an aluminium environment demand. In cryogenic technics multiforaminous aluminium tubes start to receive a wide circulation. However at present, both in Ukraine, and in the countries CIS the absent equipment and technologies for manufacture of some kinds of production, therefore are compelled to buy given production abroad. The lead review of the literature has allowed to draw a conclusion – offered process continuous extrusion has a number of advantages by manufacture of some structures in comparison with available technologies.

This essentially new technological process of manufacture of structures from deformable alloys on the basis of aluminium and copper has been developed and patented in 1971 in one of scientific subitems of committee on an atomic energy of the Great Britain. Process continuous extrusion, that has received name Conform, developed till 1975 basically in laboratory conditions on experimental installations. In 1975 new results have been received, are modified technological parameters of process, the opportunity of practical realization of new technology in industrial conditions has appeared. The license for manufacture of the equipment on way Conform was got by some firms. First Holton (England), then BWE (England) and later " Sumito Metalz " (Japan). In area continuous extrusion a number of other western firms in Belgium, the USA is engaged in independent development. However data on industrial realization of their method does not toil. At present to us 4 English firms - manufacturers of the given equipment known only are Holton Conform, BWE, Confex Technology and Conform Technology.

They carry out a wide spectrum of services, for existing and potential users Conform including technical support, development of manufacture, introduction in operation, spare parts and service. Installations Conform have been sold and successfully maintained in America, England, Germany, Japan and in many other countries. This equipment is used by such firms, as Pirelli, LG, Hitachi, etc. In connection with absence of the described process of manufacture of products in Ukraine, research and development of technology, on the basis of principles continuous continuous extrusion, are actual.
