Abstract
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
    The goal of this master's thesis is the level of strategic planning analyze in modern corporations, the development of a algorithm of strategic planning, identification of advantages and disadvantages of strategic planning, and the construction of the original optimization model of the strategic planning corporation, including the network of coal, coke and chemical, coal-preparation enterprises connected with their mutual deliveries.

SCIENTIFIC NOVELTY AND PRACTICAL VALUE

    Scientific novelty of the thesis includes the construction of the original optimization model of the strategic planning of the corporation activity, which embraces the network of coal, coke and chemical, coal-preparation enterprises connected with their mutual deliveries.

SUMMARY OF THE THESIS

    Strategic planning is one of the management functions, which represents the process of enterprise choice of the goals and the ways to achieve them.

    The analysis of the literature indicates a sufficient advanced system of strategic planning at the enterprises. This fact is clearly seen at the promotion analyzing of Ukrainian companies at the Russian market.

    For example, the experience of Roshen corporation is more than demonstrative. Using the method of territorial consolidation Roshen managed not only to maintain its position, but also to expand its attendance at the confectionery Russia market. Corporation Roshen takes the largest share – 23.6% at the Ukrainian confectionery market being in the lead with noticeable advantage from the other players. The main reason for its success – initially chosen strategy to support domestic production and the traditional, well known since Soviet period confectionery brands. Another competitive Roshen advantage is its assortment breadth. Thus, if other market leaders dominate in a separate segment (eg, ABK company has become a leader of manufacturing and selling iced chocolates, Craft Foods Ukraine has a strong position at the market of slab chocolate, Svitoch is the first at the chocolate market in whole), Roshen feels confident in all segments, it is an absolute leader at the market of sweets for weighing and ones in boxes. It is for account of the rich assortment Roshen managed with relatively small losses to come out of a crises that gripped the Ukrainian confectionery industry, after the Russian government imposed limiting tariffs on the caramel import.

    Organization of a strategic planning department at companies.

    The role and tasks of a planning department must consist in the assistance in information collecting and organizing which are indispensable for those specialists who set the strategy, in the annual cycle of strategy study organizing within the scope of which managers review and adjust strategic plans, in this cycle management and also in the coordinate of studying and approval process of strategic plans developed in the various services and business units.

    Experience shows that in the strategic planning group of the domestic enterprise must comprise three types of people: top managers with the broad experience, young senior-level administrators – in their absence – young middle-level administrators appointed to the posts not later than 2-3 years ago, and also so-called "snowdrops" which are persons without administrative power, but close to the senior management, who prepare various documents and express unconventional ideas. As a rule the latters do not have clearly defined duties, but they have free time for reading fresh literature in the subject and they are not afraid to be alone in utterance of their ideas. It is them who take up the essential work in the development of methodical base of the external environment and internal condition of the enterprise analysis. Administrators simply do not have time for it.

CONCLUSION

    At a later date we are planning the research and development of the original optimization model of the corporation activity strategic planning, which includes the network of coal, coke and chemical and coal-preparation enterprises connected with their mutual deliveries.
