The biography
I, Koval Irina Stepanovna, was born on the 5th of January, 1988 in Makeyevka.
My mother, Tatyana Sergeevna, born in 1958, works in DonNTU as an engineer. Since the very birth of mine she always kept me out of hardships and difficulties, and when I was terribly upset, she was always ready to listen to me, to console me and to make me laugh at once, after that I forgot my misfortunes. I often recollect, how mum sewed costumes to me at nights and took me to the dancing classes. The choreographer used to say that she had not seen before such a mother who would have worried so much about her daughter's hobby.
My father, Stepan Nikolaevich, born in 1959, works for the company "Alice". When I was a child, he used to name me "button". I remember how he would carry me on his shoulders to the amusement park, and we went on the swings so many times. We did together the sums on mathematics at home and when I took part in children's matinees, he shouted "bravo" louder than others, which encouraged me very much.
My elder brother, Jury, born in 1983, is a former student of DonNTU, now he is an employee of the firm "Siemens" in Germany. My favourite brother was always a good example for me, he studied well, helped our parents about the house if I did something wrong , he would have taken the blame upon himself. Entering the university he took an active part in preparation. And when he was an undergraduate he taught me to be more disciplined and eager to learn as much as possible about the offered subjects. Now I miss him very much, as he has been far away for 5 long years.
But when he comes back on his holiday, we are together all the time talking, laughing, consulting each other.
I went to the kindergarten late enough, when I was 4, therefore it was a little difficult to find common language with my group. But gradually all settled, I made friends with children and we cheerfully played all days long.
School
I went to school when I was seven. To my pleasure I saw children who had been going to the kindergarten with me. Still I remember the moment when I came into the classroom, it was light, clean, cosy, with snow-white curtains and gentle-brown school desks. Our first teacher Vernik Nelli Davidovna became the second mum for me and the whole class. She has considerably influenced our characters, taught to be kind and sympathetic, caring to parents, respect each other. And I remember that I dreamt to become a teacher of primary school and look like Nelli Davidovna.
I took an active part in school life, I liked it very much. Being a schoolgirl of the tenth form, I was suggested to participate in the competition "Lady Autumn" and I won. In the eleventh form grade I was seriously engaged in preparation for entering the university. I began to attend preparatory lessons on mathematics and chemistry. In a month I was sure that mathematics is exactly mine! I finished school with a gold medal.
University
The moment of truth has come - the interview at university. As my parents worked in DonNTU, my brother has graduated from it, that is why I was really eager to follow them and spend some part of my own life within the precincts of this establishment. I have entered the university to study "Economic cybernetics" and still I have not regretted about my choice even for a moment.
The first semester at university made me look at the process of studying in a different way, therefore till the end of the fourth year I, as well as other students in my group, attended all the lessons, carried out diligently each laboratory work, tried even to hand over my course works before deadline, participated in conferences, to cut the long story short, I did my best to make my marks better. I successfully passed the state examinations after the second and the fourth years of studies and got a “five”.
Making a choice of the supervisor of studies, I had no doubts. Dmitrieva Olga Anatolevna always seemed to me not only a professional teacher, but also a kind and sympathetic person. Her lectures were always interesting to me. The theme of my Master's Thesis is "The modelling of optimum control processes under uncertainty". Now I work hard over writing a diploma, I consult Olga Anatolevna and I hope that I will not have many difficulties working out my project.
Plans for the future
I plan to complete my Master’s degree paper successfully in the earliest possible timeframe, to defend it perfectly well, and to get the longed-for higher education that I had been approaching for many years.
After graduating from University, employment is my key objective is, sure. I have not made my mind where definitely and in what field I would like to work. As for today, I’ve just determined the criteria for selection of work. The most important thing is to find some occupation that would be interesting for me. The second thing which is not less important is a good collective. I believe that wherever you work, your performance will be of higher quality and you will complete your assignments faster if the employees are unanimous. I would like to feel support on the part of my colleagues in hour of need and, of course, I’m ready to give my support to them in my turn.
Every girl cherishes a dream of getting married and building a strong and united family. I’m not an exclusion. My life will be happy if I’m surrounded with dear and loved people.
I have a great desire to travel abroad, see the world, communicate with people, and become familiar with the specific features of their cultures. I have never left my country yet, that’s why any trip would be an affecting experience for me.
My ambitions include: remaining a human in any situation; overcoming difficulties worthily; achieving the objects in view; being happy no matter what.
I wish you the Masters who will graduate after me never lost your courage and always forge ahead your objectives as well as I do!
