Childhood School and Lyceum University Plans for the Future

AUTOBIOGRAPHY

Childhood

I was born on April 6, 1989 in small town of Novogrodovka in Donetsk region. I have no siblings, so I always felt excessive care and attention from my parents. My mom, Inna Nikolaevna, has always supported my endeavors and shared my interests. My father, Valery Josipovic, taught me to be responsible and appreciate the friendship and labor of other people. I was sociable child, got along with people easily and attended into the kindergarden with pleasure. At the age of 6 I read very well already and was eager to study. Therefore, in 1995 I started school.

School and Lyceum

When my parents chose a school for me, they placed primary emphasis on learning a foreign language. So I went to school ¹ 7, which recruited children to the first class with advanced study of English.

My first teacher was Lyudmila Sidorovna. She was not very strict, but treat children with justice and care. Her methods of teaching were very interesting and original. She managed to have a way with every child, encouraging achievers and tried to kindle an interest in those who didn’t want to study.

In addition to studying, I amused myself with music. I was particularly impressed with concerts, which I often watched on TV. My parents noticed my passion and decided that it would be better for me to get education at musical school. So in 1995 I went to the musical school ¹ 2, to study to play piano. Study was very difficult for me because I didn’t even know how to write and could not understand my homework, handwritten by teacher. But thanks to my mother, who had to learn along with me, I finished the first class. And then it became easier and more interesting. I often performed at the final concerts and won contests. I graduated music school in 2002 with honors. Now when I play the piano, I put my soul into music, "feel" the music and it allows me to relax, forget about any problems.

My favorite subject in elementary school was mathematics. I enjoyed solving original tasks, and my parents often helped me. That’s why I have been defined to math class in the high school. Every year I took part in contents in mathematics and physics and won prizes.

I have often heard from older friends about the institution with higher level of preparation for entry the university. It was the “Nadezhda” lyceum. And I wasn’t disappointed that it was in other town, and that kids who study there, have classes 6 days a week. Therefore, in the 9th form, I determined where I would graduate from secondary education and enrolled preparatory in courses. We studied subjects that were necessary for admission to the lyceum there. And in summer of 2004 I was admitted to the engineering-oriented group to the lyceum “Nadezhda” with advanced study of mathematics, physics and graphics.

My class leader was Pavlutskaja Irina. I remember her as energetic and active woman who has never sat still. In any spare time she organized various trips around Ukraine and abroad. She was in excellent physical shape, and we were encouraged not to sit still and be active.

Kishkan Alexander, which became a good friend for me, was my class leader. Studies in the lyceum was bright, interesting, merry and exciting period in the life. A lyceum was different from school. The first three months of study were heavy because of the large loading. Little by little I used to get up early, to go to Krasnoarmeysk and study 6 days a week having 6 lessons. Loading was large, but it worth it.

In addition to studying, there was a rich cultural life in lyceum. For every holidays we prepared bright events, went on tours. There are many traditions in the lyceum: trip to Mertsalovsky forest on the 1st of September, celebration of the lyceum’s day, scientific conferences, organization of alumni gatherings, trips to Crimea and to Blue Lakes on vacations.

During my study, I took part in contents in mathematics and won, prizes. My teacher Natalia Zhuk always helped me. She spent a lot of time with us, she became our best friend and advisor. Pedagogical collective of the lyceum enraptured me. I’m very grateful to all the teachers for everything they did for me.

Two years passed very quickly. For my efforts and the excellent marks I received a gold medal. So it was time to select the university and the profession. And at the end of the 11 form I determined whom I want to be.

University

Of all the possibilities I had, I chose the Donetsk National Technical University. I like it for its prestige and high-quality of education. Our lyceum classmates had a chance to pass additional tests, so I took advantage of this opportunity. That’s why, in May I already knew that I would be admitted to the Telecommunication Systems and Networks specialty. I really liked this branch because of its actuality and rapidly evolving field of telecommunications.

I get used to student’s life and made friends with my groupmates easily. Education was easy for me, because I had a good store of knowledge under my belt. Morover, my groupmates often gathered together to prepare for the exam, if subject was too dificult.

During the second course I was admitted to the Faculty of Personnel Retraining to study Economics. Education in this specialty was not interesting to me. But I understood that without the knowledge of economics it’s very difficult to find a well payable job and move up the career ladder. Receiving two professions is very difficult, but nevertheless I studied hard and get a bachelor's degree in "Ecomomics".

To take a break from studying, I have often gone on travels. I will always remember tourist meetings in Svyatogorsky forest, where each team competing in some sport, defended the honor of their faculty. During summer holidays students’ union gave us the opportunity to become healthier at the Black Sea coast. These trips were unforgettable. During winter holidays I went with my friends to the Carpathian Mountains. And although my attempts to ski were not successful, I will still remember that fabulous beauty of the mountains, fresh air and cozy wooden houses, where we lived with my friends. I will never forget trips to Lviv, Kiev and Odessa either.

On the 4th course it was necessary to choose the theme of master's work. Because I enjoyed the theory of probability, I decided to delve in this topic and examine the self-similarity of traffic in modern networks. It is a burning problem nowadays now, especially concerning design of new networks and managing existing ones. The subject of my master's work, "Application of Self-similar Processes to the Wireless Networks Traffic Simulation". Voropaeva Victoria - my scientific adviser, helped me in formulating the theme of work and preparation of work plan.

Plans for the Future

I understand that it does not always turn out, as it was planed. Actually, life usually goes in opposite direction. But clear goals give me confidence in life and encourage me to improve myself.

Now I clearly understand what I want out of life. I have laid for ourselves priorities substantiated purpose in life. I do everything for their achievements, hard moving to a dream ...
