Tkachenko Alexander

Childhood

      I was born in July, 11th in 1983 in Donetsk. My father, Tkachenko Valeriy, is the head of department of Control Systems Theory Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics of National Academy of Science of Ukraine. Mother, Tkachenko Lyudmila, is working as the economist of Regional Department of Statistic.

School

      In 1990 I entered the school 17, in which pupils can specialize on the intensive study of physics and mathematics. As a majority of my classmates, I finished first three classes as an excellent pupil, but then, as the same majority, I got both good and bad marks.

      In 8th class I began to study Informatics, which later became the most favorite subject for me. Under the guidance of the remarkable teacher Galina Kravets I took the prize-winning places in the local and regional school competitions on Informatics. In 2000 I won the third prize place in the regional competition and this allowed me to enter any of the departments of computer science of Ukrainian universities by passing only the interviewing in mathematics. These circumstances determined my choice of profession for the future.

University

      In that year I entered Donetsk National Technical University to specialize in Automated Control Systems. The choice of ACS was made due to its wide range of applications and the unlocking on the computer. Because of the more exiting subjects and lecturers I liked to study in the university much more than in school. In 2004 I received the bachelor's degree with the excellent mark in computer sciences.

      While studying in the university I was keen on sport and training in track and heavy athletics. I am visiting the gym until now.

      Now I am studying in the magistrates and working as an engineer-programmer in CJSC IA "Kiev-Konti". It is not easy to combine those all together, especially when I have the goal to get the masters diploma with the excellent mark. At the work I am using the knowledge of MS SQL Server obtained in the university and designing web-application on platform .Net.

Master degree work

      Theme of my master's project is "Design of neural network control system of the boiler of the power station". I have 2 publications on this theme. Application the neural network for modeling the boiler of the power station using the prediction allows to make efficient control.

      My scientific advisor is the Head of ACS chair, professor Yuriy Skobtsov. He’s scientific interests are computer systems of technical and medical diagnostics; evolutional modeling and genetic algorithms.

      Also I had investigated the bifurcations of solutions of ordinary deferential equations and studied the possibility of application of theory of dynamic chaos to the signal transfer.

Plans for future

      In future I am going to enter to the post-graduate courses and develop my master thesis to PhD dissertation.
