About me

My name is Lapikova Yekaterina Yuryevna. During my studying at Donetsk National Technical University I not only got acquainted with interesting and wonderful people, acquired a perfect luggage of knowledge and skills and an average mark 4,94, but also felt myself a part of a big and friendly team of our university. I tried to spend time at the university with a benefit, this is why I improved my knowledge in Russian, Ukrainian and English languages (in December 2006 I received First Certificate in English). Apart from this, I understood a variety of program products, beginning with MS Office, browsers, MathCad, Matlab, and including specialized programs such as SystemView, Algorithm Builder, NetCracker, NetSim, Ethereal, Opnet, network applications of OS Unix, Oracle. And of course I improved my personality on lectures in philosophy, psychology, pedagogy and sociology. In parallel with “Telecommunications” I studied “Finance”.

Biography

Childhood

I was born on the 1 of March 1985, in Gorlovka city of Donetsk region, Ukraine. My parents, Yuriy Aleksandrovich and Yelena Vasilyevna gave me joyful childhood; I was surrounded with love and care. In two year’s time my brother Roman was born. Now he is a third year student of Radiotechnical faculty of the university. I had a lot of favorite activities in childhood including sewing and knitting clothes for dolls, tree climbing, drawing and reading.

School

At junior school my favorite subject was drawing. My first teacher Shcatova Claudia Vasilyevna showed my sketchbook with proud to everybody. And it was she, who advised my parents to send me to the School of Art. Starting with the fifth form I attended School of Art for Children in Gorlovka, where I was studying for four years and during this time I mastered Painting, Graphics and Composition. I was a pupil of a form with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects of Secondary School # 47 in Gorlovka. So, I took part in numerous competitions on Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Ukrainian Language and Biology (I won the first place in Gorlovka). At the beginning of eleventh form I became serious about choosing a Higher Educational Establishment and decided that my future specialty should be connected with mathematics. I studied this subject successfully with the help of my teachers Reva Tatyana Ivanovna and Komaha Ludmila Petrovna. I made up my mind to enter Donetsk National Technical University and chose “Telecommunication Systems and Networks” specialty because telecommunication market was developing very fast and there was not enough specialists in this sphere. I had an interview and get a mark “4”, after that I became a student of chosen specialty.

DonNTU

The first days of studying passed quickly filled with impressions of new city, friendly group, interesting subjects and unknown teaching methods. And I realized that this was the most memorable period of life. I enjoyed studying and, as I had plenty of spare time, decided to start some kind of a hobby. I became a student of “Finance” of the same university. From the first till the fifth year I learned English in special group of students at the university. As a result of my efforts I managed to pass Cambridge University Exam and receive First Certificate in English (FCE). Let me say a little bit about my science work. It began with the name of a lecturer Paslen Vladimir Vladimirovich. I wrote two articles about influence of electromagnetic field’s variations and took the floor at International Conference of Students, Candidates and Young Scientists II with a report on topic “Spiral Aerials in Telecommunications” under his leadership. Later on lecturer Bessarab Vladimir Ivanovich became a leader of my science work. I chose a topic of my master’s work “Research of Dynamic Processes in SDH Networks with Complicated Topology” with his help.

Plans for Future

I have such plans for the nearest future: to complete master’s work in Telecommunications and a diploma in Finance, to find an interesting and necessary job which will combine Telecommunication and Finance and, of course, to continue developing as a personality.
