Autobiography [March.01.2008]

Childhood

I was born April 25 1986 in Alchevsk (Lugansk oblast’). My mother Koshelyeva Iryna Oleksiyivna graduated from DPI (“Applied Mathematics”). Until I was four my grandmother Koshelyeva Valentyna Petrivna brought me up. In December 1990 I moved to Donetsk, where I live till now.

In my childhood I was a lovely, curious child. I learned to read and write early. The most unforgettable memories were connected with my moving to Donetsk, which is much bigger from the city, where I used to live before.

School

In 1992 in the age of 6 I went to school #112. At first I was unpleasantly surprised that I had to do my homework. But soon I got used to it and my mother wanted me to start learning English deeply. That is why in spring of 1995 I changed my school to #92 (now it’s called Gymnasium #92), where I began learning English hard. In school I liked most mathematics and then algebra. On Saturdays in 10th grade I went to a group of deep mathematics learning.

Additionally to the basic school program in class we studied such subjects as British countrystudy, English literature, business English. Since 9th grade we had classes with Andrew Vogt (a volunteer from Peace Corp) several times a week. With him we learned American English, American culture, talking fluently a foreign language, understand somebody talking this language.

I finished the school before the term after 10th grade (2002). The last school year I studied in Elkhorn, WI, USA in Elkhorn Area High School. This has let me learn better the American culture, improve my knowledge of English. In this school I studied marketing, economics, accounting, creative writing, government, speech, Microsoft Office etc.

Special words of thanks I’d like to say to my teachers Ryabtseva Anna Grygorivna, Kostyukova Olena Ivanivna, Gusyev Viktor Ivanovych, Polovtseva Larysa Valentynivna, Kolle Polyna Oleksiyivna. At school I took different kinds of sports (cross country, swimming, basketball).

University

In the summer of 2003 I turned back to Donestk and entered DonNTU, specialty “Software”. At first it was not really easy for me to study. I had enough knowledge of mathematics, but I had to improve my knowledge in computer programming. But soon I managed to catch up with other students and soon I started getting excellent grades. In summer of 2007 I get a bachelor diploma in “Computer sciences”.

When I was in my second year of studying in university I decided to get one more high education and took one more specialty “Firm economics”. Recently, in February 2008 I passed the final exam and soon I will get a second diploma.

While studying I liked most such subjects as Databases, Artificial Intelligence. That is why I have chosen as a theme of my master’s work “Analysis of methods of automatic knowledge extraction out of relational databases” (Fedyayev Oleh Ivanovych).

Plans for the future

In the recent future I plan to graduate from the university. In September I want to continue studying for my second major – economics and get a masters degree. For the further future my plans are more undefined. I think that my job will be connected with both my specialties. But I am always ready for changes and it’s possible that one time my future will go just the opposite way that it had before.
