Abstract

About myself:

My name is Dubik Maryna Sergeevna, and I consider myself to be an easy-going and quite purposeful person. I know exactly what I need and what I want. My academic average during the years of study at university is 4.0. It has always been my dream to have a higher education and here we are, it has almost come true. Very soon I am experiencing the most crucial day in my life, the day of receiving a diploma. I have already two diplomas: one for finishing a piano class in music school and the other one is a Bachelor's degree diploma having “labor activity safety as a special subject”. I have a command of Russian and Ukrainian languages, know a little English, enough for reading. I have enough computing skills working in Microsoft office, Mathcad and Compass.

Short biography

Childhood

Once upon a time on November 15, 1987 in 9.30 a.m. there was born a little girl with big blue eyes, who was named Maryna. My childhood was restless and joyful with never healing knees and elbows, heaps of bruises and indelible childish impressions.

My father named Dubik Sergey Yaremovych born on October 24, 1964 has a “Useful minefield development” specialty diploma and works at Jdanowskaya mine. That’s why I decided to follow in my father’s footsteps.

My mother named Dubik Ludmila Vladymirovna born on May 5, 1965 works as a teacher at school ¹41 and has completely formed my conception of a hard teachers’ labor.

Kindergarten

In 1989 my mother brought me to “Skazka” Kindergarten and since that time all the kindergarten teachers have known no rest, for I was so restless that it was almost impossible to quieten me, still some succeeded. It was my hobby in the kindergarten to glue chewing gums on the teachers’ chairs. I loved taking part in morning performances in the costumes of a snowflake or a Snow Maiden as well. And everything had been great until a desire to go to school emerged in my mind. It happened when I was 6 years old and on my own firm request when my mother took me to school.

School

In the year 1993 a helpless little creature with a back pack twice bigger than herself, stepped over the school threshold. The school years were no less interesting and joyful that the years in the kindergarten. At the elementary school most of the lessons I spent in the corner for there was no other way to quieten me. A lot of times the teachers made complains to my mother and each time there followed a good scolding at home. When I was in the 5th form I suddenly took up learning, reading books and became a diligent pupil. I used to read a lot, and learnt a lot of new and interesting things. At the time when I was about to receive a school leaving certificate a what-shall-I-do-in-the-future question arouse. I had to decide but couldn’t figure anything out. And there came my parents’ helping hand who put me to the straight and narrow.

University

It was on the 1st of September, 2004 when I became a student of Donetsk National Technical University (DonNTU) choosing a “Labor activity security” as a chief subject. To be earnest, I was overflowed with pride, for it’s not within everybody's depth to be student of the university. The years in the University were cheerful and full of impressions. Every day I used to get a lot of emotions, learn something new, that I really loved. When the first years of study passed and there were no more general subjects to learn, I had to penetrate deeply into my special subjects. And the more I learnt my occupation the more I took interest in it, having an opportunity to go underground of the mine during every practical training, and that, in my opinion is inexpressible experience. And here we are, this is the way how the 4 years have passed and after the state examinations I decided to try myself out for a holder of a Master's degree. Admittedly, now I’m busy writing a Master Research paper on the topic “Cul-de-sac degasification in normal and emergency modes” under the supervision of Tchystuhin Viatcheslav Vladimirovych, “Labor protection and aerology” department associate professor.

Plans for the Future

Before long I’m aimed at finishing my Master Research paper and successfully defend it. Later on I’ll try my best to find a well-paid and interesting job for me to take a delight in.
