Autobiography

Childhood

My name is Astahov Eugene. I was born on March 24, 1986. My native city is Druzhkovka. My mother's name is Astahova Tatyana, she was born on May 14, 1962; and father, Astahov Alexander was born on February 28, 1956.

First of all, I want to express my deep gratitude and respect to my parents, who were always near and made great efforts in my upbringing. They were able to give me views on life, point to the moral values and raise a decent person who has important personal qualities.

I wished to become a pilot. The brightest impression was the cherry tree in the kindergarten. According to my parents words, I learned to read quite early.

School

Until now I retain in my memory the moment when I saw the computer for the first time. I was 14 years old, and for me it was only a toy. At that moment my fate was decided: I will become a programmer.

At the age of 6 years old I went to the first class of the school ¹7.

My parents chose school ¹7 which was near my house and it had good reputation. I consider that the first teacher is the important person in my life, it affected formation of my character too. It was strict with us, but fair. We participated in various performances. Lessons passed interestingly, informative, she always tried to interest us.

I studied on «well».

In 1999 I passed to the Druzhkovka lyceum «Intellegence» and studied there till 11 form. My objects of interest were Computer Science, Math and English.

I had very friendly relationships with my Computer science teacher. As I was good at Computer I didn’t like to attend these classes but all my free time I devoted to operating system installation in classrooms.

I took part in Math, Physics, Computer science, Economy and History school competitions. At that time I began to show high results not only on district, but also on regional level, participating in different competitions.

My school years were easy-going and left lots of positive emotions because of my friends who are still in my life.

I finished lyceum with a silver medal.

Time of choice of further way came in 2003. Not long thinking, I decided to bind the further life with information technologies and entered in the Donetsk national technical university, on speciality «System programming».

In the 11 form I have attended the courses on mathematics and computer science on the basis of Donetsk national technical university. For several months I have increasingly prepared for ratings in mathematics and programming, attending training courses. My efforts were not lost. As a result I ranked 11 place and was adopted on the budgetary form of studying.

University

I went to university with a great desire to work. It was said that only self-independent work of students could help in studies, particularly, memorizing the information.

During my students years I have got necessary knowledge, good experience and skills. But if I had the same desire and energy as it was at the first year of my study, I would have achieved better and useful results in the programming field.

I enjoyed studying at the University a lot. Here I found new friends, got new knowledge in programming, learned to work productively. The first course of studying was the most difficult for me, because I had to adapt to a new form of learning. Starting with the second course I confidently handed over all tests on the «excellent».

On the third course I understanded, that the knowledge that give us at the university is the basic, and therefore the required programming languages and technologies have to learn itself.

In general, the student's life flows like a river, but it is not carefree.

During four years of education I have studied well that gave me the ticket on budgetary education in magistracy. In 2008 I got bachelor’s degree.

Having arrived on 5 course, at once we had a question to select scientific headmaster and a theme of masters work.

I choose Yuri E. Zinchenko as a scientific adviser, because I am interesting in FPGA problems in the areas of technologies «Boundary Scan» and «Guide Probe», which he does. He offered a theme of master's work «Research and Development of FPGA project verification method using Guide Probe methodology on the base of Boundary Scan technology», which has seemed to me interesting and promising.

Plans for future

My nearest plan is writing the master's work and reaching the diploma of master in system programming. Now I am engaging in FPGA development and going to work with them in the future, applying the knowledge gained during the years of learning into practice. In a prospect to manage software projects, the department in the development of a solid company, or to open my own software development company.

At the end I want to thank to my parents, my teachers. Without their help I couldn’t have become the person I am now.
