Childhood

1987 year was coming to an end. My parents, Polyakov Sergey and Polyakova Valentina, were preparing… no, not to see New 1988 Year in, but to see me. I let them to celebrate New Year's Eve party and reminded about myself. So my parents found their main present not under New Year’s tree like another people, but in a maternity hospital. It happened at 5 a.m. the first of January 1988 year.

The question arose how such present was named, and my elder sister Polyakova Alla took a word. No one argued with her and I was called Andrey.

When I was 1,5 years I went with tears and shouts “I don’t want!” to a kindergarten “Sinichka”. There I learnt to read, write and sew on buttons. According to kindergartners, I was the most precocious child in our group, therefore they favoured me with the greatest poems on morning performances.

School

The comprehensive school opened their doors before me in the 1995. During next 10 years I knew many new things, overcame many difficulties and got a lot of knowledge. Also I took part in the different school arrangements such as theatrical productions, wall newspapers, tournaments and I was awarded a lot of gratitude and documents.

I was practicing tennis and choreography, learning French and art, but only football became a great part in my life. I discovered football when I came with my friend for company on a stadium. Since the second class I have been playing football and taking part in competitions and championships.

I graduated from the school with good rating, well knowledge and skills. But It was essential that I found my real friends namely in the school.

University

During the last year in the school I had to decide where I would continue to study. But I couldn’t choose the future profession. According to my friend’s advice: “Enter to Electric Systems and Networks, won’t regret!” – I tried to pass a rating examination on this specialty in the University, but I flunked. I strung myself up to do it, so I was enrolled in the University after an interview in summer of 2005. I was truly happy.

The first academic year didn’t afford pleasure to me. Passing the exams, I thought: “If only they leave me in the University!”, many things went wrong. But 1,5 year later I changed my attitude to study and started to get on.

After 4 years I became a Bachelor of Electrotechnics. Now I am studying the Master’s Programme. My scientific adviser is Polkovnichenko Dmitriy. I chose an important topic of my Master’s work. It is “Research of new approaches to maintenance service and repair of power transformers of electric networks”.

Plans  on  the  future

In the nearest future I plan to defend my Master’s work and gain a Diploma, then get an advanced and interesting job, where I will be able to realize my potential and succeed. I am sure that the knowledge and skills got in the University will help me on my way.
