Autobiography

Childhood

I, Gorovenko Darya, was born on the 23 of February 1988 in a small metallurgical city Yenakievo in Donetsk region. My mother – Gorovenko Yelena Nikolayevna, works at “Yenakievo metallurgical works” as a head of the estimating department. Father – Gorovenko Yevgenij Nikolaevich, works at building company “Azovinteks” as a head of the building department. I have an elder brother who graduated from Donetsk national technical university with a specialization in Computer systems of diagnostics in medicine and technology. Now he works at the Donetsk regional anticancer centre as a head of radiological security and dosimetry control department.
When I was 3 years old I started attending “Romashka” kindergarten. While growing up I was very communicative and had many friends with some of which I started school. At that time it was in fashion to attend different hobby groups and I wasn’t legging behind. I attended music school to learn pianoforte, took dancing, singing, painting lessons, studied English at the evening school which was opened by a municipal gymnasium.
One of the most vivid memories of that time for me is a trip to a summer camp named after V. Dubinin. Different sports competitions, musical contests and discos in the evening of course were the most interesting at that moment.
The years I spent in the kindergarten were the most light-hearted in my life thanks to my parents and my kindergartner Lubov Dmitrievna whom I still remember.

School years

I started school two times. For the first time it was in 1994. At the age of 6 I started school #37 which is called “Enakievo municipal gymnasium with advanced studying of English”. The pride of our school is the fact that an outstanding pilot-cosmonaut, two times a Hero of the Soviet Union Georgiy Timofeevich Beregovoj studied there. Our class was very friendly because we met earlier in the evening school.
After a year of studying I started attending school #15 named after a Hero of the Soviet Union, a legendary pilot Mariya Semenovna Batrakova. As I was 7 years I entered the first form again. After I finished the third form I came back to the previous school.
As I was still attending the music school I gained an experience of a stage performance. First of all, I took part in the academic concerts and choir singing. Besides, I started taking sport dance lessons.
My favourite subjects at the school were mathematics, biology, geography and history. And when I had to choose between sciences and arts I chose the first.
There was a children’s parliamentary republic “Victoria” in my school and I was its member of parliament in the 8th form. During my studying at the school this organization made a lot of entertaining and informative events.
At the time the most important person for me was my classroom teacher – Tucha Yelena Nikolaevna who helped me to cope with a lack of confidence, fears and helped me to find my way. I want to thank her for that.
At the beginning of the last year at school I started taking extra lessons of algebra, geometry and the Ukrainian language to enter a university. I chose the university without any hesitation but it was more difficult to choose a profession. Most of all I liked “Human resources and labour economics” because it is topical in our country. After passing the exams I entered Donetsk national technical university as a state-financed student.

University

I still remember the first day at the university. Zenzerov Vladimir Ivanovich gave a lecture on informatics, it was the first double period. I got acquainted with my group mates after the second double period. But I had say my name and where I am from again and again during the first two weeks of studying as it is hard to remember all at once.
And the studying began. Running from one building of the university to another (the third, the tenth, the seventh, the eleventh), writing essays, laboratory researches, tests.
Four years of studying flew by. And I got Bachelor's degree. During the period political science with Golota Valentin Stanislavovich as a lecturer and sociology with Bacharov Vitalij Vladimirovich were the most interesting. The lectures were very interesting and informative as the presentations of the subjects were clear and comprehensible.
I had always had a dream to visit many countries. And it came true in 2007. Together with my group mates I went to Poland, Czech Republic and Hungary. This trip was unforgettable.
My qualifying paper for Master’s degree is based upon my scientific research on staff training management by way of example of Yenakievo metallurgical works. My research supervisor is Zakharova Oksana Vladimirovna who renders me assistance in my research work.
I want to thank all the teachers who tutored me.

Plans for the future

At the present moment the most important for me is the degree work defense. Then I want to get the second higher education connected with medicine and I also want to visit more foreign countries.
