Short biography:

My parents: :

Mother, Lyudmila Syomik, is, a talented and versatile person.

Father, Sergey Syomik, is a well-educated, industrious, decisive and motivated person.

I was born in a family of real intellectuals. All members of my family have high education in economics and not only. So since childhood there was no doubt choosing a future profession. I was a lively child. My childhood was very bright and happy. I went in for dancing, acting, juggling, learning English.

School

For the first three years I studied at school ¹ 13 in Donetsk. Then I went to study at Classical Liberal Gymnasium. I keep the best memories of the Gymnasium. Teaching was so well organized and aimed at thorough education of students. Later I returned to my first school because of family circumstances. But from 9 to 11 classes I studied at Donetsk college (it was called Donetsk Technical College). For me it was easy to change schools because I am a communicative and easy-going person. I enthusiastically took change of schools, because it gave the opportunity to meet new interesting and talented teachers and students and learn new ways of teaching.

University

Studying at college I already knew that I would enter Donetsk National Technical University. My choice was explained by the fact it was the first university in Donbass and is a leader up to now. I entered the university by ratings, when I studied at 11th class, which I was proud of. My major was “Management of foreign economic activity” and in four years I got the Bachelor`s degree. They say, “Diversification is the best way to avoid risks”. So I decided to continue my education and get the Master`s degree in “Management of foreign economic activity” and “Management of innovation activity.” It is very difficult to take two Master`s courses simultaneously, but the game is worth the candle. I get such an invaluable experience here which cannot be compared to anything. The process of education is so interesting and fascinating that students have no fear of what may wait for them after graduation, because we know for sure that skills acquired at our university will contribute to our self-actualization. We will become qualified specialist taught by the best teachers in Donetsk who prepare us to the realities of today`s life and business, giving us the opportunity to realize ourselves. We are taught to work in teams and find solutions to different problems. Not every university can give you such experience and skills. Here I also learned how to communicate with different people and make new friends. I am happy to have been living in the family called DonNTU.

Plans for future!

In future I am planning to realize all my dreams and ideas. In my life I am guided by the motto "Per aspera ad astra", which means in Latin "Through the thorns to the stars". I suppose such way of living is not going to be easy, but I'm sure the will-power and knowledge gained at the university will help me achieve my goals. Goals make human life purposeful. To reach a goal set you should concentrate your power and energy, free yourself from doing unnecessary things, which is a mere waste of his potentials. Create a picture of what you want and determine what you are passionate about or care about most Create time to achieve your goals. Prioritize your goals. This will save you time and effort if you know what you are going to achieve and when. If we act with a clear sense of purpose and direction we will get what we really want.

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry wrote that there must be a strict rule to put your planet in order after you get up and put yourself in order in the morning. I think he was absolutely right. We cannot solve all the problems of the world at a time. But everyone can work to make the world a better place for living.
