SHORT AUTOBIOGRAPHY

  Childhood

Little girl was born in a well-known day to humanity as the beginning of Second World War, as well as the longest day of the year (summer solstice). It was registered, that on June 22-th, 1988 Iliukhina Ekaterina Ivanovna was born.

I grew up in a family of preparators. Experience and knowledge of mining passed on from one generation to another. From childhood I have heard the terms associated with the mining industry. Though I don’t understand their meaning, they are put off in my head automatically. I went to kindergarten "Landish" in the age of three. I remember lessons of art in pre-school period. My mother diligently gathered all my pictures and handicrafts in one album, which is kept at home now. I liked to take place in the festive performances. We were in smart suits, making sketches and telling poems.

  School record

I heard the first school bell on September 1-st 1995 at the school ¹ 17 in Dimitrov town. I had "excellent" marks at school. It was merit of my parents and teachers. My grandfather was working as a chief engineer at the concentration plant, he taught me mathematics and physics. We solved tasks of different complexity, that we had not studied at the school yet. My grandmother created unique home library by herself and fostered my love for literature. I participated in all school competitions actively. In 2002 I took the second place in the second stage of the Vseukrainskaya olimpiad in mathematics and was awarded a Diploma for this. I also was awarded a certificate of merit "for particular advance in mathematics" in 2003.

  Lyceum

After 9 years of secondary school ¹ 17, I entered the technical class of Krasnoarmeiskii city lyceum "Nadegda". At lyceum we lived as one happy family. Our hymn was song of the same name "Nadegda". My favorite subjects were mathematics, drawing, physics. I study French optionally. I have written research work in psychology during the period of study at lyceum. I was awarded a diploma for the third place in the second stage of student's physics competition in 2005. All the students of the Lyceum spent their spare time together. We went on excursions to memorial places of Donbass. On holidays we arranged intellectual games, discos. We organized trips to the Crimea as one of the variant of spare time spending. I didn’t hesitate in my choice when time came to choose university and profession. I clearly knew that I would go on the footsteps of my family. In winter I decided to test my knowledge by passing rating in DonNTU. And I scored 50 points out of 60 possible. My name was the first in the list of university entrants that were recommended for entering the profession "Mineral processing". I completed my studying at lyceum with a silver medal. Before my studying at university began I went to the Crimea. There I took introductory course of diving called "Morskie kotiki”. Immersion in water in a diving suit with scuba and underwater exploration leave unforgettable impression. In addition, I visited Yalta Zoo and Nikita’s Botanical Garden.

  University

On September 1-st, 2005 I opened the door to a new adult life. I became a student. The disciplines that we studied were not difficult to master, because good knowledge base has been formed at lyceum. For the successes and advancements in study I was awarded nominal grant by V.N. Amitan from September 1, 2007. Besides studing I dedicated much time to physical training doing aerobics and swimming in sports complexes of DonNTU. In summer of 2008 the first entry in my work record card appeared. I worked as a trainee of sampler in service control of coal quality RLS "MC" Mine "Krasnoarmeiskaya-Zapadnaya ¹ 1” during manufacturing practice. After receiving certificate of a Bachelor with honours, I proceeded with my studying to get a Master’s degree. My scientific adviser Nazimko Elena Ivanovna, doctor of technical sciences, professor, head of Mineral processing department helped me to choose the theme of my Master's work. Along with researching on my theme I attended a driving school "Forsage-2005”. In April 2010 I received a driver's license of "B" category.

  Future Plans

My primary task is a successful defense of Master's project which I was to write during a year and a half. After graduation I plan to devote myself not to scientific but to practical activities. I want to find good job by trade with decent wages, to apply my theoretical knowledge into practice. Other important thing for me is to create close-knit and friendly family with a beloved person and child-rearing. In addition, I am interested in visiting other countries, making the acquaintance with cultures and traditions of different nations, seeing sights and discovering new wonders of the world.
