Short biography:

Childhood

I was born on August 17, 1985 in Makeyevka, Donetsk region. My parents – Lebedeva Natalia Vladimirovn and Savkov Gregory Vasilievich are building engineers. I began to speak before I could walk. Most memories of that period are forgotten, but I do know that everything was all right, I was completely satisfied with my life and even my needs were satisfied before I could think about them. I remember having a private driver and cook, the service was the best.
Before school I felt the need for knowledge. I loved to read fairy-tales, at that period I thought that fairy tales are for real. But most of all I liked doing something practical. One of my favorite toys was construction set. I was smart enough not to swallow small parts, but to read the manual. From the manual I found out how to make a car, a chair and even more complex objects. Later I began to invent new objects to create from construction set. However, not all objects could be constructed from construction set. I took me to dismantle an iron to determine this truth. There was a lot of broken irons at my house, but I disassembled the working one since I found it most interesting.

School

I  the age of 7 I went to school ¹4 of Makeyevka. I remember my first form, my first teacher – Dina Petrovna, my first schoolmates. I’ve never considered liking or disliking school, it was simply my duty. Most bright memories of that period are connected with my first computer. It was “Îðåëü ÁÊ-08”, a soviet analog of ZX-Spectrum. My knowledge of basic at that time was only one command : LOAD “”. This was enough to run every computer program, but most of programs were computer games. I was greatly impressed with computer games, they seemed like real magic to me – a miracle.
In ninth class I went to Makeyevka city lyceum and finished it in 2002. In lyceum I was interested in physics and even took fourth place on regional physics Olympiad. At that time I enjoyed Jack London, A.P. Chekhov, O. Henry, M. Zoschenko, Mark Twain. I was able to write simple programs in Basic, but then my parents brought home a powerful 486DX. That was my first PC. There was no practical need to do something useful on PC, so I played computer games.

University

After finishing lyceum with excellent marks I entered DonNTU on my specialty by winning in rating challenge. Challenge was quite hard so I trained additional math and informatics for a year. I was unsure of my future occupation, so my parents advised me to become a programmer. I enjoyed playing with computer so that would be nice to play further.
My first impression at university was :”I’m glad that school is over!”. Studying at university was a lot more fun than school, since I found it easier. Most of my comrades from other universities complain about their bad teachers but I told them honestly, that on my specialty there are no bad teachers. University is a period of liberation, I enjoyed my new freedom.
My achievements in university are:
-    Becoming a master;
-    Two month practice in ALDEC (Poland, Katowice);
-    DonNTU awards : “Designing Lisp translator for a remote education system”, “Researching graphics formats”;
-    DonNTU certificate in English – “Upper Intermediate”.
Main reason for becoming a master was “Why not to became a master?”. My theme of work was chosen for the same reasons that made me disassemble iron in my childhood – need for knowledge. All unexplored seems hard and magical, Lisp was just one unexplored thing for me. I liked Lisp because of its original design and computation scheme. It’s magic, because its power is simplicity. I do really think, that making a good complex program is a hard work, but making a complex program simple – that requires some talent. Studying as a master looks like a bachelor study, since you visit the same rooms with the same teachers. But the hardest is to make a master’s work. You know, that the finish line is near and it keeps you focused.
Future plans:
In 5 years – work on a high paid job on my specialty;
In 10 years – own a company;
In 20 years – own everything.
