I was born on April, 8th, 1986 in the Donetsk city. My father, Sergey Ya. Makhno is Ph. D of mathematical science. My mother, Tatyana M. Makhno is the teacher of musical school. I don’t remember the earliest childhood, but as parents say, I wasn't obedient child. In 2 years after my birthday on April, 24th, 1988, my younger sister was born. Her name is Kate.
On September 1st, 1993 I had to go on the first lesson to school ¹55. The school was located about 5 minutes walking from my house. I desired to go to school, because I wanted to try something new that I'd never had before. Unfortunately, after couple of months my desires went away. Maybe my first teacher couldn't bring an interesting in it. As you have already understood, in first three years I wasn't excellent pupil. In 8 years I started to attend musical school as well and chose piano as a musical instrument. I've never regretted about this.
After the third class I came into fifth class where we had a head teacher - Ljueva Emma Ivanovna, teacher of geography. In our school the informatics is being studied from 5th class. So this year I wrote the first program. This program drew a childish landscape and was written in language LOGO. The fifth and sixth classes I passed with pleasure. I already liked many subjects and I tried to get an excellent education. In 7th class two important events of my life were happened. This year I met my best friend and my father presented me the top model computer - Pentium 200MMX. The eighth and ninth classes I remembered with various events: In the spring, in the summer and in the early autumn we played football everyday, sometimes table tennis, computer games, the first attempts to use procedural programming languages (Turbo Pascal), participation in the regional olympic games on informatics.
Many pupils from our class decided to continue their education in lyceums and high schools. I remained in my native school, parents weren't against. In 10th class the head teacher of our class was changed. Teacher of the Ukrainian language and the literature, Grohova Emilia Yakovlena became our head teacher. I think high school classes is the brightest years of the life. I finished school with the excellent certificate.
These years I also improved my professional skills. I was studying Delphi, got beginner skills with C++. Moreover I and 3 other persons from our class developed amateur quest game which uses modern technologies like Microsoft DirectX and Macromedia Flash. I'm very grateful for love to computer science to my teacher Semenova Oksana Ivanovna.
I would like to tell great thanks for the most wonderful years in my life to all graduates in 2003 and all teachers of school 55.
Profession choice was very easy for me, in the middle of 10th class I decided, that I want to be the programmer. I went to informatics courses, and for mathematics exam I was prepared by the father. As a result I've received 55 points on the mathematician and 41 on informatics. Such results have allowed me to enter into DonNTU on a speciality SE faculty CS. On the first course rock group "AirON" was organized and I also was a part of it. Maybe it was a result of my musical education.
During study I've taken a part in some professional projects written on Java, C ++, C# and.NET, Delphi. Also I've obtained deeply knowledge of using of various DBMS MySQL/PostgreSQL/Firebird/MS SQL Server 2000, 2005. It is strange effect, but professional work has only increased my marks. On 4th course I chose my scientific adviser, Fedyaev Oleg Ivanovich became him. I think I made such choice because I like themes about artificial intelligence and neural networks as part of it. The master's work theme is "Recognition of violent patterns through neocognitron neural network in real time". I finished the 4th course with average mark 4.94.
At university I've found new friends, have travelled almost Ukraine from Lvov to Kharkov and from Chernigov to Yalta, have obtained important and fundamental knowledge on many sciences. On 4th course I won the competition on C++ which was organized by Aldec company. All participants had got to show a C++ knowledge not only in programming but in designing as well. On 5th course I got Brainbench certificate "Java 2 Fundamentals" with mark 4.69 and percentile 99%.
My nearest plan is a writing the master's work and reaching the diploma of master in computer science. Further I would like to arrive in postgraduate study and get a rank "Ph.D".
In far perspectives I would like to take a part in projects of worldwide known companies like Sun/IBM/Microsoft etc. and probably to become Project Leader/Technical Director in these companies.
