Short biography:

Childhood

My name is Denis Savchenko. I was born September 17, 1988 in Donetsk. My parents are Anatoliy Savchenko and Tatyana Savchenko. I spent all my childhood in Donetsk. Almost every summer I made trips to Rostov region and Azov sea.

School

I entered first grade of specialized school 115 at 1995. This school was with profound learning of foreign languages. I studied English for 5 hours per week at first four grades. In further grades we had 8 hours of English per week. Since the seventh grade French was added to the learning process. I was engaged in swimming and table tennis. During studying I took part in school activities. Also I was present at school and district math competitions. For 3 years I studied programming at special courses. I graduated from school with silver medal.

I want to express my gratitude to teachers of English, Mathematics and Computer Science.

University

There were no problems with the choice of further education place, because I was interested in computer science. Friends of my parents advised faculty Computer Science and Technology of DonNTU. Their children have studied there. Speciality "System Programming" has interested me the most. "SP" allows me to work not only as a programmer, but an expert who knows the architecture of computers. I had to engage in the preparatory courses in Mathematics and Computer Science. Due to courses I passed so called "ratings" in the spring. After that I had to pass only school exams.

Studying at university was much interesting than studying at school. For the first two years most of our courses were devoted to general subjects. From the third year almost every course was somehow related to speciality. I found new friends at university.

I've benefited the most from studying such subjects: "System Software", "Computer Networks", "System Programming", "Peripherals", "Digital Signal Processing", "Object-oriented programming".

Theme of my master's work is "Research of image segmentation methods". I've made such choice because I am interested in the course "Digital Signal Processing". My scientific adviser  is Samoshchenko Alexander.

The first time I began to study internet-technologies at the third year of education. We were studying subject "Web-technology".

Plans for the future

In the near future I want to graduate from university and get a job as a programmer. Only part of the knowledge gained in the university will be applied in professional activities.

After getting some experience I want to become a project manager or a head of the department. There is also a possibility of opening my own software development company.
