Investigation of forming a continuously billets for reduction in line with the cyclical nature of the caster changes Compression

World consumption of continuous casting billets continues to constantly increase, which describes the effectiveness of innovative technological solutions used in the ccm, to improve its quality

Prospects for further development of processes of continuous casting billets associated with the use of both traditional approaches to the implementation of technology in modern casters and carrying out small structural and technological upgrades, coupled with a growing level of automation equipment casters.

Further increase the quality requirements of continuous casting, both at the macro-and micro-level due to the need to minimize the subsequent treatments, determines the main directions of development of technology of continuous casting machines. However, the presence of porosity and axial segregation, strong chemical heterogeneity may make the metal unsuitable for further use in engineering products.

One way to address these shortcomings is to use "soft" compression continuous casting at the end of the cycle of hardening, the presence of liquid and solid phases. the essence of this method is that continuous casting is subjected to additional compression (a few millimeters) at the bottom of on site installation of pulling the right machines.in a continuation of the classical scheme of deformation of continuous casting include the following main areas of improvement that are present during production, as blooms and billets:

  1. Changing the shape of the cross multicolumn of continuous bloom.
  2. Improvement form a working tool, ie crimping rollers or rolls.
  3. Direction apposition of the external strain effects, namely, from vertical to horizontal, or the use of the combined circuit.
  4. Application line caster presses or forging units.

Reviewed the existing schemes of compression of continuously blooms and the existing methods of investigation of the stress-strain state of continuously blanks make the following conclusions:

  1. Despite the ways developed by external influences on the formation of continuous casting ingot, they do not improve the whole complex of quality metal.
  2. The technology of "soft" compression aimed at suppressing the porosity in the central zone of continuous casting and center segregation, formed smaller and more homogeneous structure of the metal, which improves its quality.
  3. Using the forging unit in the timber is effective. with it was found high compressive stress at the contact surface and inside the cell deformation and prevents the disclosure of yield defects on the surface of the workpiece.
  4. Using a unit of the cyclic deformation after ccm improved the quality of blanks, namely, fully welded pores.
  5. The proposed scheme is the cyclic strain continuous casting, which will implement the method of "soft" compression at a given location crimping rollers.
  6. Proposed upgrading construction of the 100 laboratory, namely the bush with an eccentricity which is attached at the top of the pillow mill
  7. After analyzing the factors affecting the cyclic deformation of continuous casting, compiled a table of planned experiment in which changing the height of the roll, the eccentricity and compression.
